I vote Baldwin. He'd fit both need/fit & BPA.

Edit:

changed my pick to Ellenson. Didn't see him the first time. Highly doubt he'll be there tho.

Baldwin I think. Beasley and Ellenson close 2nd/3rd.

Taurean Prince is my vote. If Luwawu is gone, I'm okay making the slight reach for Prince. Good shooter, good defender, who brings a ton of energy whenever he's on the court.

I went Thon Maker. Might as well go for the high potential guy.

nice little tradition i started. glad it's being carried on

i've gotta say, though, that a lot of the names this year seem made up - variations on former nba players. particularly those available at the bulls slot

Wait, I'm the only one who voted for Ellenson, who's frequently been viewed as a top eight player in this draft? I think some are getting a little too caught up on fit.

Especially when you factor in only Bobby Portis is under contract beyond 2016-2017. If Ellenson fell to 14 you don't pass up on him.

Sorry, watching the Warriors thump the Cavs (yay!) - wasn't paying attention. Going to go with Baldwin.

I voted Ellenson as well, he'd be a solid 5 in Hoiberg's offense. In his Iowa State days, he hardly gave any burn to centers over 6'10". This guy can rebound, has a developing 3-pt shot, and needs to get in better shape and work on his defense. I think he'd be great at #14.

What is it that everyone likes about Baldwin so much here that they'd take him over two bigs? Noah and Gasol aren't coming back, IMO. I'm not comfortable with Felicio and Portis as our bigs.

If Ellenson drops, it'd be tough to say no to him. I went with Baldwin though, mostly because I really hope we prioritize defense and athleticism in the next couple of drafts. It's what our core identity should be, regardless of whatever Hoiball offense we decide to run, and I think it's much easier and cheaper to get athletic through the draft than it is through free agency.

In an ideal draft, I think a team should always go for the best player available, but this year is a little unique in that after the first ~8 picks, no one has any clue who the BPA actually is. In this case I think it would be okay to pick a draftee based on fit more than anything.

Thon Maker.

I Hope eventually we make it to ground zero to build up instead of remaining to continue in purgatory. Only guy we can select that someday could turn into a serious star at his max potential is him.

Bladwin here gets my vote. Fits, could contribute right away in small role and has potential.

Ellenson is a thought too, very skilled, but don't like his outlook on D, especially the way our team is built at the moment. I just want a better defender at C than he is or can become, since it is most important position on that side of court.

hmmm...gotta check out this Ellenson guy. At first, I thought he would never drop to #14 since mocks had him high, but he seems to be in the Bulls' range now.

Ellenson is a very solid player, but his lack of athleticism along with his poor defense is what makes me overlook him. We just got done with a season where half our fans wanted Pau's head because of his terrible D. At least he could block shots at the basket. You have to tinker with too many lineups to ensure Ellenson can stay on the floor. The only big he'd be able to play with would be Taj.

Just checked out Ellenson...if he can improve his defense, he will be a pretty good player. He has a very solid offensive game even though it is mostly jump shooting and below the rim. He handles the ball well for his size and is a good rebounder. I don't think the Bulls want a guy that will contribute to weakening their defense though. I would go with Baldwin over him.
