Payne was better as a rookie 21-year-old point guard than Doug has ever been in his entire pro career.
The only real explanation for the absolute tanking he's taken this season is the injury. I'm not sure what else it can be.
That said, even if he pans out he's not some high ceiling guy, which is the real problem with the young "talent" on this roster.
