And at the next level, the guy driving the ball is quicker…

You are correct but no NBA is going to ask him to hedge and recover back to the roll man like this. #11 will slide over to stop the roll and then everyone will rotate from there. Being able to recover and block this shot is amazing.

NBA rotations are different.

6'11" - shooting 36% on four 3's a game i nthe G-league. 61% TS%. 2 STOCKS per game

Stretch big - lefty.

Envision him more as a big 4 that can play alongside a guy like Vuc and play some minutes as a small ball 5.

Size - length- shooting

Just watched film with him. Great kid, who knows his strengths and is self aware about the stuff he needs to work on.

Thank you for sharing - the combination of floor spacing and vertical spacing has me very intrigued and interested in Smith.

Also really like the self-awareness, even early on in the video saying he's working on getting better on his switchability on defense. You can't improve on things if you lack the awareness to recognize they need work.

He talks through not being "jumpy" when switched onto a guard or not helping off a shooter on the strong side. It's nice hearing him recognizing these things as you both walk through the film.

Smith does seem to be a Markkanen, Portis, Wood, Lyles type player - and I think the Bulls could use a player like that.

I'm still a fan of Filipowski. With his improved mobility on the perimeter I can see him being able to play the 4 on defense. He plays with such a good feel for the game on both sides of the court, a really good passer for his age.

Could be the ideal prospect for the Bulls to help with both lack of size and shooting(if you believe he'll continue to improve).

But I don't think he'll be available when the Bulls pick.

I've seen him anywhere from #6 to #10.

Clingan seems like a guy who can be defended by pretty much any NBA small forward.

This limits his ceiling big time. Role player dude.

Shannon making some money this March. This level looks beneath him.

Terrence Shannon could be a pretty good Lavine replacement. I’d take him late lotto. Best player in the tournament so far.

Ayo is the Lavine replacement.

Shannon is the DDR replacement. I like his game a lot to replace DDR as well.

I’d be happy with a trade back and a Edey Shannon or Da Silva Shannon draft.

It’s 7 post-season games in a row averaging a highly efficient 30+ with translatable defense at 3 positions. It has to be a historically good run in modern college basketball.

But the main thing is what you said. As he’s doing it, he flat looks like a 3rd year NBA starter got dropped into a college game. He’s so much better and different that he jumps off the screen as “does not belong here.”

Now, some of that is attributable to his experience. But not much of it. I’ve seen him in mocks going anywhere from the 20s to the second round.

It’s hard to imagine him lasting that long but when it comes to “veteran” college players the NBA collective has been blowing it for years. It matters, but the amount of weight put into it is so severe it’s almost become completely dismissive of the rest of the analysis.

Before the measurements are taken and become available, I'm team Clingan. He'll be able to defend at a high level, and make shots available for better offensive players. I think Clingan would be perfect for Williams on both ends of the floor.

Interesting. Ayo and Coby are both combo guards. But Ayo is larger parts point guard and Coby is larger parts shooting guard. Coby is the Lavine replacement if we are looking at it that way.

Shannon is the DDR replacement. I like his game a lot to replace DDR as well.

Sure. He can be a 2/3.

I’d be happy with a trade back and a Edey Shannon or Da Silva Shannon draft.

Hard to imagine our 12 pick yielding that kind of return and we have no other real trade assets to add that would make sense. How would you propose pulling it off?

Outside of quibbling about where you would use a pick on Edey, I love that as the opening model of a rebuilding team. They won’t win a lot right away but that’s also kinda the point at least for a little while. It’s a jumping off spot.
