He’s getting roasted on twitter for this. Hopefully he has thick skin.

What’s he being roasted for?

Basically because Twitter is mostly loaded with middle schoolers on up to 16 year olds.

It’s actually middle age men that can’t cope with someone from Caleb’s generation.

What’s funny is that if he shows up and responses on twitter, they grovel at his feet. The guy from barstool was just giddy about it.

He has thick skin otherwise he wouldn’t do this kind of stuff. I think he does it to troll more than anything.

I want to believe that but even blue check marks are going in on him. I dunno maybe middle schoolers today get better allowances than i did back in the day lol.

Actual middle schoolers and/or grown men with the mental acumen of a middle schooler.

I don't see how Caleb DOESN'T throw for 4k yards if he plays all 17 games. He's got a lot of mouths to feed on this team. If he's the real deal, he should be able to eclipse it. Sam Howell was about to obliterate 4k yards before they started tanking in the last 5 games and ended up only about 50 yards below 4k.

Oof, call me cheap but I wouldn’t pay that now let alone if I was in middle school haha.

Agree but even if he doesn’t and he gets the job done in the red zone and in the clutch and we win games then its good enough for me.

Like a couple of others have mentioned, the running game tends to be a rookie’s best friend. Especially early in the season. So it wouldn’t surprise me if he missed that mark this year.

We had a game late last season, where it took almost 8 plays to score in the red, we were at the 5, I believe. Just made no traction, color analyst guy couldn't believe it lol. Eventually we did though.

I believe Caleb will have no problems in the red zone

Yep that is where Caleb will ultimately be judged. The 4k yards thing is a funny note on this Bears franchise specifically as they're so comically, historically behind the curve with our passing offense as the only franchise yet to have a QB cross that mark. But if Caleb throws for 4,100 yards, but also has 20+ INT's like Howell or insert your high volume low end QB here, obviously we Bears fans are going to panic.

My feel for expectations currently is that everyone expects a step forward this year, even with a rookie QB. And CJ Stroud and the stark similarities between rebuilds for the Texans and Bears are certainly expectation drivers. 8 wins feels like the floor for expectations. CJ's elite 23TD to 5Int ratio is insanely good, especially for a rookie, so thats gonna be a very tough ratio to approach/be compared to for Caleb. But without question Caleb's production will be viewed relative to CJ in the young QB conversation.

I saw Nabers ran a 4.35...Seems like he's building a strong case to get before MHJ. I doubt either drops to nine but one of them will definitely be available at 5 and I think there would be multiple teams willing to trade back and for not that much. I can see chargers, Giants, and Titans willing to move back and If we can move up by trading 2024 1st, 2025 3rd plus later 2025 picks, I would strongly consider it. Main things that would keep me from trading up at that price would be a significant offer to move back or I think one of my top guys (MHJ, Nabers, Bowers or Alt) will drop to 9, which is probable

Assuming someone moves up to 4 to take a QB we should have great options at 9.

Players are available from 5-9
MHJ
Nabers
Bowers
Odunze
Alt
Turner
Verse

We could still trade back a couple spots and be guaranteed one of those guys drops to us. Bears are in an amazing spot, regardless if Poles decides to trade up, back, or stay put

Kids don't use Twitter anymore (it's not been "cool" in years, same for Facebook) it's definitely predominantly adults and twenty somethings. Teens and tweens are all on tiktok these days.

According to some reports I saw... Jayden Daniels' agent reported all of Jayden's Top-30 Visits and the Bears weren't on the list. Poles is not going to UNC's (Drake Maye's) pro day tomorrow.

Really? The reports I’ve read have been fairly mixed. Of course, everything around the QBs is so agenda heavy that it’s hard to cut through it all, but the 2 minute “every throw” clip I saw was merely fine.

I’d be interested to hear why you think he excelled today, however.
