damn i should be a professional wnba draft analyst...

gimme a shooter at 13 now...brynna maxwell, sara scalia, jaz shelley or helena pueyo seem like the best choices based on 5 minutes of research, even though they'd all be "reaches" according to the one mock draft i looked at. but i think we've established that i know better than espn does

Twin towers let’s go

If the bears can get Caleb williams & MHJ watch out I’ll settle for Rome tho cause he pretty good in his own right

Bulls messed up we could’ve gotta Wemby or Brandon miller last draft this draft is weak cause

I don't know much about the WNBA draft, but man twin towers doesn't seem the way to go in any basketball league these days.

Selling tickets man.

the three best players in the WNBA are pfs, two of whom don't really shoot threes. basically all of the MVPs over the past decade have been PF/Cs other than delle donne, who is a very big SF. one or both of cardoso/reese are gonna have to develop at least a solid midrange game, but the WNBA is very much still a league where you can thrive with twin towers

It works when they both can defend and rebound at a high level. It forces other teams to become jump shooters, which is fine if you’re the Liberty or the Aces. But for most other teams, they’ll struggle against the type of size and defense that these two will bring. So it’s a nice foundation.

That trade up still seems steep.

But Carodoso/Reese is basically an ideal outcome.

Sky guards suck though. Maybe we tank for a season for Bueckers or PaoPao.

Yeah, I didn’t understand that trade at all. If the Sky want better guards, they will need to get one or two via free agency.

That trade made no sense when they made it and worse sense now. Just terrible. I like everything else, but man if you could've teamed up Paige with this squad, they would be ready to tear it up next season and for the following 5-7 seasons.

the crazy thing is, mabrey had just about as good a season as you could reasonably expect from her last year. arguably the best in her career. and she was...pretty good?

i can make sense of why wade was willing to mortgage the team's future ahead of a couple of incredible draft classes (because he already had a foot out the door), but i still have zero clue as to why mabrey was the person he thought was worth doing it for. (or why he decided to do it after the championship team had already basically completely disbanded, and vegas/ny assembled superteams that we were never in a million years going to compete with)

Why did he? The team had disbanded, but I'm not familiar with the inner workings of their FO and GM at the time. For example, don't know why we cycled through a couple in such a short time span immediately coming off of the championship. The price at the time, to me, seemed like you were getting a Breanna Stewart in waiting or at least a Skylar Diggins who, worst case scenario, had some marketing appeal.

A bit much but nothing to get work up about. If you walk out of the draft with Rickea Jackson and Angel Reese, then it's worth it, to me.

Kamilla Cardoso is making a late push to be taken at 3.

Cardoso/Reese is more than fine with me.

Clark goes to Indiana and Reese goes to Chicago. Clark cannot get away from Reese.

F***- I’m more interested in the Chicago Sky than I am in the Bulls off-season.

100% going to a Sky game now, probably the first one
