#7 pick - Alt -165, Odunze +650, Nabers +700

#8 pick - Turner +160, Latu +170, Odunze +650

#9 pick - Odunze +140, Verse/Murphy +600, Bowers +1400

#10 pick - Bowers +160, Fuaga +650

I do think 1-6 will be 4 QBs and 2 WRs, and if Ten stays put, it will be Alt at 7. This could go so many ways, but my guess is if Odunze is there, he's a lock for the bears. If some team trades up to #8 to snatch Odunze away, then Poles will probably trade back with a team that wants to pick Bowers in front of the Jets. There's a lot of O/D line prospects in that 13-23 range, so I wouldn't be mad about going that route and picking up a 2nd.

I bet Murphy to #9 a few weeks ago. Loving my bet, as it was +1500 back then.

Looking real good now, though you might be the only fan happy to see Murphy drafted at #9.

Flus has repeatedly said that the 3-technique is the engine that drives his defensive philosophy. It makes total sense that they'd be targeting the top DT in the draft. I think people are hung up on pre-combine rankings and mocks. Murphy has elevated himself since then and likely won't last past the top 15 picks.

in what world are you basing your decision on what eberflus says? draft another freaking DT later or wait until roster cuts. still have 10 mil in cap after draft

We just need someone to trade up to grab JJ in the top 5.

I would be happy with any of the 3 WR (most likely Odunze), Alt or Turner. I'd also be happy w/ Bowers, though not ideal given Kmet. Bowers was regarded as a near top 5 pick earlier on. Probably would be if he didn't get hurt this past year.

And honestly if only 3 QBs go in the top 8 that just means we can trade down for a huge package.

bears have drafted remarkably few unanimous all-americans in the modern era:

-mcmahon
-carrier
-salaam
-roquan

am i missing any?

caleb was in 2022 but not 2023. others this past year that might go to bears are nabers, bowers, alt, JPJ and latu

Would love it if Nabers fell to #9

Thats one big reason why trading up for MHJ is insane. The Cardinals auctioning the #4 are also literally telling you they don’t think they are getting the value for the #4 that they should be getting by just drafting MHJ. They know teams like the Bears and Giants would be getting more value by drafting the equal receiver talent lower down. No trade up ffs.

Someone intelligent told them to do this today. This is one of the tackiest **** I’ve ever seen, and no one will remeber tomorrow night.

Love the Bears team president in this video. Didn’t see Poles, very wise of him to make sure he wasn’t there.

The last time God was used in such an egregious manner, Mathew the Apostle had to report on it:

Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. And He said to them, “It is written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer,' but you have made it a 'den of thieves. ' ”

This stadium funding issue has the potential to be one of the most insane things ever to happen. So profoundly dumb on so many levels and yet it will probably happen.

I hope another team moves to give us a 2nd nfl team and play in soldier field where the Bears belong. I consider it disgusting that a new stadium is being considered at all, let alone being paid for by the city even partially.

I can easily see it though. Probably lots of people in the city govt and even some residents will convince themselves that what this decaying broke ass city needs is more expensive NFL football games.

Williams offered his suggestion for whom the Bears should choose with the No. 9 pick: Penn State offensive tackle Olu Fashanu, who, not coincidentally, was a teammate at Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C.

The city actually does need the stadium I don't know how anyone can say with a straight face that it doesn't.
