Well that rumor didn't hold water. Jason Davis has been traded to Seattle for a player to be named later this week.

The Indians announced on Thursday that the team acquired 18-year-old pitcher Gregorio Rosario, a Domincan teen signed three years ago by the Mariners, in completing the May 13 trade that shipped Davis to Seattle.

The 6-foot-4, 180-pound right-handed Rosario spent the last two seasons pitching for Seattle's Dominican Summer League team, where he went a combined 11-4 with a 3.01 ERA over 23 starts.

Rosario has yet to pitch in the Minor Leagues, but he's made the trip to the U.S. this year. He was pitching in extended Spring Training at Seattle's Peoria, Ariz., complex before the trade was completed.
