Prince Fielder HR Champ

Post#1 » by Lionlifer » Tue Jul 10, 2012 1:22 pm

How about Prince last night, looked like the best slugger by far. He was dropping bombs into that fountain. It was also cool to see his kid running around, and I think I saw a kid that looked like Miggy, but I didn't know he had a son?

Couple other thoughts:

1) Not sure why an injured Kemp was out there, but at least he tried
2) Did KC really think Billy Butler was a good choice for the derby? I know Cano said he would "try" and pick a local boy, but honestly, the dude is a scrub
3) NL was dominated, badly

Good for Prince. He was lucky to make it into the second round, but once there he took over. Let's hope some of that heat rolls into the second half of the season.

Cool to see Prince win it. Love his swing.

I don't think Billy Butler is a scrub either. Not a great power hitter, but certainly not a scrub

Butler was not a good choice for the HR derby by any means. But is certainly is no scrub by any means. He's a solid hitter.

I've just never been a fan of the guy (probably cause he always gets hits against the Tigers). Maybe scrub was a bit of an exaggeration....
