yeah dont listen to anything drew sharp has to say the guy is an idiot. sanchez has scuffled a little bit but hes got 10/11 starts left this season if he can turn in 7/8 quality starts i think the trade will have been well worth it, especially with the way omars been playing lately.

even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in a while, sharp is still an idiot. I will admit sanchez is looking shaky but he still has time to turn it around. i did lose a little respect for him by the way he reacted to taking that ball off his shin.

I Agree multiple levels of fail for Sanchez so far he is 1-3

Turner is 2-0 with a 2.42 ERA in four starts in New Orleans. He has struck out 13, walked 10 in 22 1/3 innings.

Yep, that's the rule. You get four starts to prove yourself and if you're not at least 3-1 with a 2.50 ERA, you're a bust.

Wait--I have the answer! Based on your analysis of Turner, let's just send Sanchez down to Toledo and let him rip off a couple of starts where he eats up the minor league players. Now he's a player worthy of keeping!

Yeah I think he could be a good one. I don't know that he will but he has a lot going for him. Sanchez does not and I can't see a case for why he would be a valuable player to want to have at the expense of a very talented young prospect. Not to mention I think Infante is a DQ player as well.

You don't see a problem with those strikeout and walk rates, in AAA no less?

Turner had a decent game for the marlins today in a loss to the D backs. 6 innings 3 runs 4 hits no walks and 5 Ks.
Sanchez went 6 2/3 giving up 2 runs in a big win for the Tigs over the Jays.

8/29- Turner struggled giving up 5 runs over 5 innings in a loss to the Nats.
8/29- Sanchez pitched a nice game only giving up 1 run over 7 innings, unfortunately the Tigs couldnt give him any run support, so yet again the Royals prove to be our achilles heel.

9/7- Turner had a pretty good game against the Nats, 6 innings 2 runs 3 Ks.
9/10-Sanchez gave up 3 runs over 7 innings in a loss to the Angels.

9/14- Turner threw 7 shutout innings only giving up 2 hits in a win over Cinci.
9/15- Sanchez gave up 2 in 6 2/3 in a win over Cleveland.

9/21- Turner struggled giving up 6 runs in 5 innings.
9/20- Sanchez got shelled in a big loss to the As.

9/25- HUGE game by Sanchez tonight, complete game shutout with 10 Ks in a 2-0 win over the Royals that brings us even with the Sox with 8 games to go.
9/27- Turner had a decent game in a loss to the Braves, 6 innings 4 runs (2 earned) and 5 Ks.

9/30- Another nice game for Sanchez vs the Twins, going 6+ innings only allowing 1 run in another big win for the Tigers.

Infante has scored the go ahead run in game 1 and the winning run in game 2 vs Oakland.

Return to Detroit Tigers
