Were just terrible, why don't we just stop watching this ****. The draft lottery is more exciting then our offense.

Guys, I figured out the problem with our losing streak.

It's all my fault, I just simply haven't thought about it much lately, but....

WE WERE MISSING THE TWINKIE ROAD TO VICTORY!

I'm sorry, now we can start winning again, my bad.

No worries man, I'm telling you we're going to tear a nice win streak off now, 8 of 10 or something. It's the twinkies man, it's the twinkies.

and i dont understand how any blame goes on the manager in baseball...joe torre could be fired, but i dont see how any of the blame goes on the manager because they dont bat or anything....i know jvg got fired because he could have made life easier for tmac and yao but what can a manager do?

I agree, but it's not really that simple. Atleast in the NL, there are so many different situations and strategies, knowing when to double switch, pinch hit, which guy to use, etc etc.

Ultimately the players have to get the job done, but the manager has to know when to pull a guy, when to leave him in, who to use in certain situations etc etc. He also has to be able to demand the respect of the players in the locker room, and be a leader. If he can't do that, he doesn't belong in that position.

Garner can be pretty stubborn sometimes IMO. Always playing guys like Lane or Ensberg when we face a lefty, just because that's what the "book"
says. Face a lefty, play more right handed hitters. I disagree on that philosophy personally. I go with who I feel is the better hitter, and IMO I'd play Lamb or Scott every day over guys like Ensberg and Lane, and personally, I'd be starting Loretta at 3b full time, while using Lamb on off days and the occasional 1b start and pinch hitting role.

Remember how stubborn he was with Lidge last year? I was so happy to see him yank him from the closer role early on this season, and not let it get to that point.

Anyways, /end rant.

Maybe we can get a win tonight for once....

Also, no. Pence is hitting .361 since he's been called up and playing fulltime.

We have an early 1-0 lead, what else is new. Wonder how long until we blow it?
