look at this loser man.
meeting to clear the air.

you're his damn manager....just...donnie just gtfo.

edit:
to be clear....clearing the air is something that teenage girls do IMO...churches do when their pastors get caught in a scandal.
we shouldn't even have needed this because you shouldn't have been sandbagging him in the media.

looks like Kershaw is missing his start on Sunday.

in his career he's had plantar fascitis (sp?)
a bum hip.
and now a bum back.

I'm beginning to question when the last time this kid was 100%
hopefully he can get some meaningful rest and skipped in some starts before the 2nd half starts....get healthy and then we can get hot in the 2nd half.

this was probably a pre-planned injury. the FO did say repeatedly that they plan to use Kershaw with caution this season not to over-work him like we did in last few seasons. they want to keep his regular season innings down, and having pitched already in Australia and now going up against pitching depleted Madres, we sure can afford to give our 30 million dollars (a year) man a little rest for the jet lag.

on the other hand, Ryu is on a cheap contract and is eager to prove his durability and having more chances to start to add to his total wins this season from last year's 14. I expect Ryu to go for a 20 win season this year with sub 3.00 ERA while keeping this WHIP just under his last year's numbers.

anywho, here is a clip of Zach and his nasty 2 seamer.

nobody can't tell me that this kid can't come up this very season and be our #5 in rotation if Paul blows and Beckett and Billingsley can't come back. his last year's stats made a huge improvement from years past, still can use seasoning but this kid does have filty stuff with newly found control.

Kershaw on DL is retroactive since the aussie season opener, so he will be back very soon. meanwhile, we get to carry an extra pitcher without sending one down to the minors or waver. that lucky fella might be Withrow or Wright. i can't imagine Ned C sending his boy League down, which is the decision that should be made. oh well at least we still have options on Withrow and Wright's 1.5 mil is guaranteed and won't mind being send down for a few weeks to a couple of months.

...and Ryu is going for the league leading second win of the season already.

I am still confused of whether Oregon falls under Dodgers territory or not. i have cancelled baseball package in fear of having to pay for black out of Dodger games, but we are Giants and Mariners local i think.

i don't like the fact that Ryu has given up 5 hits + walks already in 3 innings of work, but yet to give up a run. he sure can walk that tight rope but needs to settle down and start dominating like he can.

boy did ryu step up... 6 innings, still only 3 hits and 2 walks. 7 strike outs since the rocky beginning. Zero runs, earned or unearned. what a performance for our #3 ace.

so far after 6 innings, Ryu has racked up 11 innings and 7 total hits+walks and 0 runs given up. he is early candidate for the NL Cy Young!!!!! :D

7 innings, 1 extra walk given. i think Ryu's night is over with WIlson coming up... 7 innings, 3 hits and 3 walks. great night for Ryu. should win this game and lead the league with 2 wins before most teams haven't even played.

what happened was annoying...i cannot deny that.
he'll be fine...even though I think that might haunt him in his next putting or two. He WAS nearly flawless with us last year.

whatever.
long season...we're still 2-1.

well i sure didn't see that coming. i was excited to have Wilson come in to setup Jensen and give Ryu his second win of the season, but can't blame that move, although once i found out Ryu was done after 7 with only 88 pitches, i thought he could have gone another inning for sure, but if Ryu had given up a run to blow the W, i would have slammed Don for his decision making so no fault here, only a bad luck.

Hope this is not a sign of things to come, Wilson's fastball that he have up the tying HR was not only badly located, but was only 87 mph. again, it's still early in the season. maybe his arm strength isn't 100% yet, and not because he is coming down from PED after scoring a 8 digit salary.

it sure looked like it didn't break and was just hanging right down the middle at 87.

i suppose that could have been a hanging slider that didn't break and missed the corner location. either way, that was not a good pitch.
