Mitchell scored 21 in the 3rd, Cavs scored 37 total. Held Knicks to 22 so we are tied

They are trusting Proctor a lot and he's earning that trust

I liked a lot of the things I saw and disliked some things. I think a lot of the dislikes are very fixable. Missed a bunch of easy early defensive rotations (I believe bc it would be between two guys and then either both or neither would go). We were obviously limited in our rotations so I can't really call out any rotation as bad bc some of them aren't going to get regular use if Garland, Hunter, or Strus are available. Tyson made a lot of mistakes that caused his weaknesses to vastly outnumber his strengths (in this game).

Proctor looked real good to my eye. Looked extremely comfortable handling the ball even around great defenders in Deuce, Bridges, and OG. Made some good reads for passes and three of his shots were self-created and all were good shots (even though only one fell).

When Hunter, Garland, and Strus get back this will be an entirely different team. Allen just disappears when Garland doesn't play. Mobley loses 6 easy points. Proctor looked playable on a good team and that's more than you have any business asking for his rookie season. Same with Tyson in his second season. These guys are role players being asked to move up in the rotation very early in their careers. There will be bumps in the road.

I still want the Pacers to cut Bradley.

No 15-0 start this season, sigh.

Onto the next road game.

Look, i didn't watch the game but i still think the move is to get rid of Allen. Cavs pay him so much money and he routinely disappears.

It's 1 game but he's also been here since January 16th, 2021... We know what he is.

Without Garland, he disappears, but that's not Allen's fault. Also, he has zero respect from the officials. I was happy to see Altman pick up a tech when he obviously got fouled, but it's a tall league getting taller, and I'm not ready to see Mobley as the only playable center on the roster.

Played out like a script I've seen before with Mitchell dragging us back in to the game only to give it all right back and then the magic turns off as quickly as it turned on. We need Garland badly, he's our closer.

Wade, Nance, and Proctor all looked promising. Ball looked like he needs time to find his shot and learn his teammates. It would had been nice to see Evan trying to throw his weight around in the post against Huk and KAT, but perhaps he's still not ready to try to displace guys bigger than him.

Came in here to see what Cleveland fans were saying today about Tyrese Proctor, the Proctologist, The ArseMan...

Wow - Cleveland only has 3 fans engaging on this site.

I'm really shocked.

Was that a career high 3PA by Mobley?
Well at least we're not Detroit!

Lots of sloppiness. Lonzo let a few passes go. Too many fouls on 3-point shots. Tyson learned some lessons about being the primary defender against an All-NBA player.

Allen, Tyson, Wade, even Mobley all need to be better rebounders. We're playing taller than last year and that should lead to more of an advantage on the boards, but instead we give 14 rebounds to Anunoby.

I thought the refs were somewhat in New York's pocket in the first half, but we didn't do ourselves any favors. The Knicks took advantage of the follow-through fouls on threes. Brunson got any call he wanted, although most of that was taking advantage of a young player.

Agree on Allen overall not playing well. I don't think it's just missing Garland, although that's part of it. His rebounding should still hold up but it didn't all preseason. He doesn't have anything to do on Mobley possessions besides crowd the paint. Even when he gets shots he's missing easy ones.

Mitchell had a great 3rd quarter but only had 2 points in the 4th.

Luckily we get Brooklyn next. No travel and the loss should keep us from losing focus.

Most Cavs fans only come to RealGM when they want to interact with (or troll) fans of other teams, so they tend to post more on the general board than the team board. There have always been other sites over the years which attracted more Cavs fans than RealGM.

As for Proctor, he's looked very promising. At some point, though, people will need to catch up with the well known fact he's not the typical 49th pick because he knew the Cavs had an actual roster spot to give him unlike every other team and teams respected his wish and let him fall to the Cavs.

It's still the extended pre-season portion of the regular season. Some guys are going to need more time to get ramped up and learn new teammates they haven't had much practice time with.

The crazy stat from the Knicks game was Donovan's -14 inspite of his +9 in the third quarter when he went off.
