Not really, either can spend time at the 5, and can play together. TT doesn't really need touches anyway, he creates most of his touches with his rebounding.

Any thoughts on Rodney Stuckey? He is ufa, and while a bit of a gunner, he cold fill the JR spot if he is gone.

So, Shump at 10 mil per. Seems a bit high, but most of these deals will be average in the next few seasons due to salary cap jumping next season. Looks like mid level players are going to cash this year as teams look to get in before the jump. Maybe they are thinking that they are saving a few $$ by spending this offseason.

Love all the signings and I actually think shump is worth 10 per. TT is overpaid but would rather have him back than not

Also love contract is a bargain. Easily could of been 5/150 if he waited until the boom.

Side note: anyone else kinda disappointed we didn't get mo?

Would have probably been a lot cheaper to force Shumpert and Thompson to find deals.. but why waste time, hurt relationships, delay signing others. Gilbert's LeBron's sugar daddy! Whatever the king wants. I'd hope LeBron's "wait and see" approach is over and his confidence in ownership and management is at an all time high. Long term deal before next season and no more games or posturing?

Last I heard the deal isn't done yet... but I was really excited that he'd be coming back. In limited minutes, he's exactly the kind of PG who could keep the same kind of dribble drive offense running that Kyrie does. If not Mo, I'd put a call out to Nate Robinson on a vet minimum deal.

In other news, I was listening to ESPN Radio Cleveland and the rumour is that they're shopping the Haywood contract to Houston in exchange for Trevor Ariza so the Rockets can sign LMA. That would be insane. Basically, we'd get our own version of Iguodala to back up Shump & Lebron.

Absolutely!! +1 +1

Give us a hint if you know something? Eric Bledsoe and P.J. Tucker from the Suns for Haywood and picks obtained for Sasha Kaun? That I could get in to!

Like him, but he's rumored to be seeking and getting more than the $3.3 we can offer.

I believe they've decided to let J.R. go... or at least let him see that the market isn't what he expected. He was never really in the plan, at least it seemed like they had to get approval from Lebron just to acquire him. Lebron was also very critical of his sulking - not sure he's telling them team we have to resign him. Doesn't look like he's getting $8+ for three years from us. The years are the problem and he's said to be seeking that longer term security. He might eventually find a team desperate enough to do it, but he hasn't even been mentioned in free agency so far.

Starting to look like Bledsoe? LMA is holding the cards on that one imo.

I can't even with you people anymore

Bledsoe ? You cereal ? You think they're gonna just give him to us on a salary dump ? lol. When there are plenty of teams out there with desirable draft picks that can actually help them in the future.

There's so many reasons why this can't happen

Miami needing more than just 10M in cap space is the main reason. Other reason is Gilbert will not help Miami get better.

You're not wrong here, BUT the contract is very valuable and highly sought after. You saw what the Kings gave up to get a little salary cap, now imagine a team desperately trying to get far enough below it to offer a max deal and imagine what they would do.

Really, you don't even have to imagine, just look at what the Cavs had to do last summer to get out of the Dan Gilbert mistake of a contract that was Jarrett Jack. Does anyone really regret giving up Zeller and Sergey compared to not having LeBron?

When it comes down to it, teams are going to give up assets to make sure they get the guy they really want. We just happen to have the contract that can help roughly 85% of the teams in the NBA get there.
