JB absolutely has to find playoff minutes for Green, he's stroking it again.

JBB asked every player whether they wanted to rest or whether they wanted to play to stay in rhythm. Allen and Mobley chose to play.

I don't think the risk/reward is there for the 12 minutes they played, sometimes you gotta protect players from themselves.

Totally agree with JB decision: players ain't children and coaches ain't their fathers.

No idea what numbers tell but that RRubio-DannyMature backcourt looked unexpectedly productive.

We might see it again this season.

Per the Athletic's Katz on important factors in the series,

"Knicks’ centers vs. Cavaliers’ defensive rebounders not named Jarrett Allen

The Knicks are the East’s best offensive-rebounding team. And with Allen on the bench, the Cavaliers’ fingers turn buttery. For those 15 or so minutes, New York has a chance to pulverize Cleveland on the glass.

The Cavs rebound only 70 percent of their opponents’ misses, which is far too low when Allen isn’t playing. Meanwhile, the Knicks assault the offensive boards for 48 minutes. Robinson led the league in offensive rebound rate. Hartenstein finished eighth.

If Thibodeau wants to wreck the Allen-less Cavs, maybe he brings Hartenstein in a little earlier and staggers Robinson so playoffs’ most ravenous glass glutton runs with the second unit. It’s not an every-game occurrence, but Robinson has played with the reserves various times before.

Either way, the Knicks can’t just win the rebound game when Allen rests. They have to dominate it."

Return to Cleveland Cavaliers
