I'm cautiously optimistic about the coming season. I have no idea what to expect. I think it's hard to project off of last season - especially with the ups and downs of bullpens. But I think this team can be plenty interesting. And I have some faith that CC and Stearns know how to squeeze the most out of a roster with spending limitations.

I think we'll be quite good. The defense looks stacked to help out an already good pitching staff and if the offense can be better than whatever the f*** last year was, they should put up a pretty good record. Not sure they'll be on the level of the '18 team, but definite playoff contenders with 90-ish wins.

The division is trash so we probably have an inside track on at least the wildcard just because the Reds and Pirates will be terrible and the Cubs are probably a 75ish win team and even the Cardinals are maybe like a 90 win team best case scenario.

That might be the most optimistic thing you've ever posted.

Many cold weather non dome cities schedule an off day after their home opener in case of bad weather. The Brewers used to do it with County Stadium. Why they still do it is weird. Home opener next Thursday against the Cubs. Friday off day.

Having to see Travis Shaw bat like .188 this season while getting starts at 3rd is going to make me unhappy. I would so much rather bring back Gyorko. I just really feel like this trying to 'recapture the magic' move like we tried with Sogard.

Yeah they better have a really short leash on him. Like he shouldn't be on the roster by Memorial day unless he batting his weight.

So who are you going to have play 3rd against right handers? Because Gyorko can't hit them.

Shaw hit .218 against RH pitching last year. And my Jedd take is more an anything but Shaw take. I’m fine with all sorts of other options, just don’t think Shaw is good.

Yet still posted a higher OBP and OPS against righties than Gyorko did. Look, I think Shaw is probably going to bad but at least there's a tiny bit of upside there, even if his upside is like a ,325 OBP, .425 SLG against right handers that's still far better than Gyorko's career .296 OBP, .408 SLG against them.

That's fine, again, my beef is that Shaw and maybe Arcia is the best we are going to do at third this year unless someone else comes to fruition. That's my problem.
