If that's all Tampa can get for Glasnow with an extension we might be better off going for it for one more year.

Yea the market for one year guys seems to be really light this offseason.

Are we close to a billion dollar annual payroll for the Dodgers yet? I'm only half-joking.

Rosenthal saying the Brewers still willing to trade Burnes but at their price. Noted that it’s unlikely it’ll come with an extension since Burnes is a Boras guy.

Just announced that Scherzer is having back surgery and out til mid-season. With them being down both him and Degrom until at least mid-season maybe there's an opportunity to work something out there for a Burnes trade?

There was this ridiculous thread on r/baseball about how the Dodgers were getting too much **** for being the Yankees of the West Coast when 'they were only #6 in payroll last year, so of course they were going to make signings this year.'

The Dodgers have been the Rays of the West/NL for a long time, if that makes any sense. And it makes sense because they have Freidman.

Sure, they have made a handful of trades and probably regret giving up Yordan Alvarez and such (he was one of those, "who cares" guys in a trade), but they have not been what the Yankees and others represent.

They unearth a bunch of undervalued guys like Muncy and Turner and lock them up, they generally home grow their bullpen guys who are unspectacular in general but play the matchups correctly, etc...they are another bites of the apple team in general. They did it so well that it freed up some long-term space for Betts/Freeman extensions/contracts, so it's not like they don't do that.

But even though I'm a "bites of the apple" fan, they can be used as another downside of it. They are still absolutely loaded with superstars, but they still get by during the season by having spectacular minors depth, unlike the Phillies, who went stars and scrubs and generally have more horses in the playoffs. Still - in the end, weird, because they've had some elite players that have just kinda sucked in the playoffs.

I like Prime's NFL presentation but I don't want streaming to be the only option.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

If Amazon invests in the streaming architecture I'd be all for it. Diamond/Ballys looks like total dogsh*t. When you switch from them to a national game the difference is night and day, and Amazon looks the best out of any major network.

Agreed, I like what they've done with NFL. If they just put the current Bally's broadcast on Prime that would suck. Hopefully they'd upgrade, at least eventually.

My only issue with this is that I still primarily watch "TV" on actual TV, not streaming services, and I like quickly flipping between TV channels as opposed to switching between things across different streaming platforms.

I'm not sure if there's an easy fix for that or not. My partner works in the industry and we have virtually every streaming service that exists as a result - not to mention every TV channel - so I am guessing that if there was an easy fix we'd have that infrastructure in place too.

Stunned. More than 300m for Yamamoto. I’m going to hate watch baseball this season.

I am going to hopefully enjoy the Brewers but baseball really **** sucks outside of that.
