The Brewers farm system is absolutely loaded

There are some good names on that list. Along with Chourio I'm hoping that Gasser and Black get an opportunity this year. Carlos Rodriguez is a guy on that list that I feel not enough people are talking about, mostly because everyone is blown away by Jacob Misiorowski rightfully so. But Carlos has got some really good stuff and after this next season we might see him up in the big leagues.

I don't think I've seen anyone have Lara that high so that's interesting

I am surprised we are the #2 system but only have 3 but I guess 3 in the top 33 is pretty good

I somehow missed count earlier.

They also have Black (70) and Gasser (98).

Kind of fascinated to see what happens with Quero this season. Every major outlet says his ETA is 2024 and that defensively he's ready to be Milwaukee's backstop right now. I wonder how long they keep him in AAA. Eric Haase is the only other catcher on the 40 man and while he's a reasonable bounce back candidate, he might also be terrible again.

I think there is a reasonable chance he gets called up if Contreras has to go on the IL at all, and I think he also could get called up in September when he wouldn't lose an extra year of service. But I have a hard time seeing him come up before then to burn a year of his control while being Bill's backup. Catchers are also pretty slow developing so I don't think the Brewers need to be in a rush here. I'd be curious how what the specifics on Nola's deal are cause he's another option and backup catcher isn't exactly a hard thing to acquire if need be.

Pipeline

Top 10 3B
1. Junior Caminero, Rays (2024)
2. Noelvi Marte, Reds (2024)
3. Colt Keith, Tigers (2024)
4. Coby Mayo, Orioles (2024)
5. Tyler Black, Brewers (2024)
6. Brady House, Nationals (2025)
7. Michael Busch, Cubs (2024)
8. Curtis Mead, Rays (2024)
9. Aidan Miller, Phillies (2027)
10. Yohandy Morales, Nationals (2025)

Run: Black (60)
Though third base isn’t typically a position that showcases speed, Black is a plus runner who puts his wheels to good use. He led the Minors with 12 triples last year and ranked 11th with 55 steals in 67 attempts. Interestingly, he swiped just 20 bases in 117 college games at Wright State.

Highest riser: Black
After a fractured left scapula and broken left thumb hampered him in his first full pro season in 2022, especially in terms of power, Black drew no consideration for our preseason Top 100 Prospects list a year ago. Following a healthy .284/.417/.513 with 55 extra-base hits and as many steals in Double-A and Triple-A, he’ll rank in the middle of our new Top 100 when it drops on Friday.

Any of the pitchers in the top 10 options to crack the rotation this year? Kind of feel that 4th and 5th starter spot is pretty fluid. I hope Ashby grabs 1 of the spots and does not let go.
