Brewers/Reds Series

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Mon Jun 7, 2021 2:21 pm

Reds just swept the Cards

Tuesday - 6:10 - Houser Vs. Gray
Wednesday - 6:10 - Anderson vs. Gutierrez
Thursday - 11"35 - Peralta vs. Castillo
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

The Reds are not great/beatable but we do draw some tougher pitching matchups here if Castillo is finally on the rebound. 2 would be great.

At what point do we genuinely start to question Yelich? Seems like he’s got a terrible case of the ****.

Capitalized on Gray getting hurt. Cards lost their 6th straight

That looked really painful. He didn't move for quite awhile

Dislocated shoulder. On the plus side, he'll be able to pull the Martin Riggs trick for the rest of his life.

I tried to look it up, but with this kind of pitching, we really need to make a move now. Only a few games out of division and we just need some bats and would have a real chance.

Overpaying is bad, but overpaying middling prospects for some people that can contribute NOW, this is the time.

With a win today we're tied for the division lead.

Just throwing ideas out there. The Kyle Seager idea was brought up several times in the last few years. I believe his mutual option kicks into guaranteed for '22 if traded, but he is still playing good defense, providing above-average offense.

The Mariners are probably too starved to sell their "franchise" guy this year as they are somewhat in the mix...but if they are trying to do one last cost-cutting measure before they build around this core of interesting young outfielders, we could take on a good deal of the contract and not send a ton back. That would provide an expensive stopgap 3B for next year as well, but it's only one year.

I like Urias as a super-utility IF. He's improving, so maybe once Wong returns he's still fine as the everyday 3B, I don't know.

What an acquisition Adames was.

If it was really true that he simply couldn't see the ball at the Trop...what a freaking steal even if Rasmussen + Feyereisen continue to help TB.

Sucks we lost Peralta to the rain but they lost Castillo.

Yelich is drawing walks, I'll give him that.

Seems like a win/win trade at the moment, nothing wrong with that.

Haven't been able to see as many games as I'd like, wtf is going on with JBJ so far this season? I didn't expect him to anchor the offense or anything but come on.
