If they remain in contention they need to add an arm or three. I'm curious what prospects they will feel are expendable to make that deal.MVP2110 wrote:Bush is a fine middle reliever, he shouldn't be the 8th inning guy though. I'd rather let Strez have that job for now and see if we can't acquire a pen guy at the deadline if nobody else steps up.
Really fun to see Rea & Payamps pitch in big moments last night and come through, has to be a thrill for those guys
And somewhat overlooked last night was how dominant Devin was. Watching Hader & Devin each pitch the 9th was about as good of pitching as you'll see in that situation

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Bush has good stuff but gives up too many home runs which is a bad combo for an 8th inning, high leverage pitcher.

I'm willing to give it some time to see if any of the electric arms they have can step up into back end roles but I also am pretty confident they will add to the pen at the deadline. Every year under we were in contention under Stearns/Arnold we've added at least one Bullpen piece.
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

I'd definitely be interested in seeing Abner Uribe and Cam Robinson getting a chance at some point this season.

He must have been moving faster than it looked because it didn't look very fast.

Anderson is a valuable dude to have due to a little versatility defensively

If the game was close does Lauer come back out for the 6th?

I like that the hitters are putting the ball into play. Games this year when I see 10 or more strikeouts, it just sucked.

Padres uniforms would be cool if they weren't just a shameless copy of the miami heat alternate jerseys.
