Curious how the OF shakes out when Mitchell returns if hypothetically everyone now is healthy. Perkins is fantastic defensively and has been good at the plate. I do expect that to drop over time. I don’t expect Chourio or Frelick to lose playing time. Frelick maybe if OPS continues lurks under .700. Ton of time until early June though, and assume be closer to July by time actually ready for MLB return.

Curious who would have closed yesterday if they hung on to the lead? Does not feel like Uribe will be the guy in the near future and obviously used him in the 7th yesterday. Payamps hasn’t been dialed in this year yet. I thought they used Hudson in the 6th so would not have been him.

My guess is Payamps. He had the one blowout outing but besides that has been pretty good

Turang has probably been my biggest surprise so far. I was pretty down on him all offseason, offensively, and so far his hitting metrics are pretty impressive plus leads the league in stolen bases. I don’t know if he can continue it, but my view on him certainly changes long term if does.

They should keep Hall at Triple-A when he gets back from his DL stint. He needs to get that FB velo up in a big way.

Guessing we'll see Tobias Myers. Wish Gasser didn't have the injury setback, he'd be the lefty you could slot in for Hall.

I think Hall's velocity dropping was intentional in order to maximize his control and stamina.

He might just be best suited for bullpen work, tbh.

I really really wish they had one more legit starter. Doesn't even have to be an ace. Like a solid durable inning eater #3 type.

I'm kind of torn on this because while that seems logical, you would think he could ramp it up to 98 a few times as a starter when he needs it...and while I'm not really watching every single pitch...has he?

I feel like this is clearly one of two things:

1. The fun phantom injury that baseball teams love to use. Preserve his one option that he has remaining so that he can take a few weeks "rehabbing" and then 2-3 starts in a minor league rehab stint to figure things out. If you don't feel confident through that, he's either bullpen or I guess minors.

2. He's actually hurt and the nagging knee injury has been the reason the velocity is down.

Really interesting to see the caliber of starting pitcher they can put out there and keep winning with this elite defense and good offense behind them.
