Yeli legitimately looks back. Maybe he's just hot - maybe it'll be like last year again where he's just fringe all-star level - but man he looks good.

Last year, he would get his OPS up around .850 and many people were starting to talk about him as an all-star again, but he wasn't flexing anywhere near the power that he's showing this year. It was mostly fueled by walks, as usual, and singles, which may have had something to do with the banned shift, and his OPS would inevitably fall back around the .800 range after a few weeks.

This year, he looks legit awesome. Completely different ability to drive and launch the ball. His swing is beautiful. He gets the bat down in the strike zone right away so he can launch the ball more, and he keeps the bat in the zone as long as possible, even when it's on the way up. This is in marked contrast to his swing the last 4 years, where he was coming down on the ball way too much. His PA's are must-see tv once again, and I'm here for it.

Yelich definitely feels back. Maybe not "1.100 OPS" back but if he gets to a level that's halfway between last year/MIA years and his MVP years that's huge.

Turang being our best player through 10 games wasn't something I expected. He's getting lucky on a few hits but his plate approach just looks so much better.

Lots of rain in Cincy today, tonight and tomorrow. Both remaining games could be washed out. We don't go back there until the end of August (with no off days before or after that series).

Team OPS over .800 coming into the game, and it's going up. 8-)

That pitch that "hit" Candelario was a strike. Leaning into one like that shouldn't be allowed and the umpires definitely have the power to make that call.

I totally get he's just coming back from injury and he's still building up but it just sucks to have to pull your starter after 4 innings and 50 pitches and put so much on the bullpen again.
