Like that Myers did enough to get another start, at least.

Bats, though. Woof.

Need to find a way to get 1 of the next 2 to ensure winning road trip. I did not get to see much of tonight’s game but seemed like the new pitcher did well enough. Bats starting to disappear a little more in the last week.

That was rough. Not sure why Frelick is going there. Ran themselves out of the inning. Have a feeling that will come back to bite them.

I hate playing at Pittsburgh. Feel like its always a grind.

Clown show in the 9th but much needed win.

Glad to find a way to hold on. That 9th was anything but easy. Wasted alot of scoring opportunities too.

In hindsight, maybe should have cashed out on Williams. Payamps doing well as closer and Megill I think could too. He has powerful stuff although tends to spike breaking balls, which then they can sit on that fastball. I thought Rowdy got that one in the 8th. Hudson has been a good pickup too and think could close. With that said, this pen will be super elite once Williams is back and if returns to form.

Wiemer is a mess. I think he is going to get moved or just needs to spend extended time in AAA to figure it out and hope it clicks at some point. You knew not all the OF’s were going to pan out, right now looks like he may be 1 of them that doesn’t.

At least guaranteed a winning road trip and if can make it 5-2 that is fantastic.

The entire game was a clown show. Love Murphy but for the life of me cannot understand this Bauers thing. So not only is he an every day player who is slotted in the middle of the batting order, but he also apparently has a green light on a 2-0 count when the opposing pitcher is doing his best Rick Vaughn impression, walking/hitting everybody? Make it make sense. Bauers proceeds to swing at three pitches out of the zone, K, and kill a potentially huge inning. What are we doing here? Add Frelick's base running gaffe, the brutal defense, and inexplicably pinch hitting late for Chourio, and I'm left just scratching my head. Luckily it was the Pirates, but woof.

Good idea giving Chourio a day off.

2 weeks for Yelich since he "tweaked" his back. Haven't heard anything about his progress.

Bauers seems to have a good glove at 1B other than that I agree doesn’t seem to be adding much. I get having to give Hoskins time off 1B, but rather see Bauers further down the lineup too. His xBA,xOBA, and K% is like bottom 10% of the league.

Hearing nothing is somewhat concerning. That contract is also still concerning. 26M/year through 2028…

I was feeling a little better with the contract with the way he started this season on top of a pretty good 2023. Hopefully he returns to form whenever he returns.

That was the most disappointing thing for sure. The contract wasn’t seeming like an albatross last year and especially this year. Also hope he can comeback strong. He is a likable player so always rooting for him.

Joey Bart is a huge failure in SF, immediately gets to Pittsburgh and turns into the star he was supposed to be.

Man its a struggle right now for Wiemer. On a bright spot Turang has really exceeded my expectations at the plate. I hope this is his norm as this player is a guy to keep around as a regular.
