The buzz saw, Maury Wills and Lou Brock

They can motor. Those two guys are fast," Clemens said, marveling at Reyes and Gomez.
Reyes tied his career best for steals and leads the major leagues with 35. Torre turned to bench coach Don Mattingly in the dugout and compared the pair with Maury Wills and Lou Brock.
"Any time those guys get on base, they're going to cause havoc," he said.

Oliver Perez escaped trouble in the second, when he struck out Melky Cabrera with two outs and the bases loaded. Perez dropped the Yankees to 7-10 this year against left-handed starters.

"We ran into a buzz saw," Torre said. "The most important is that we won't see him again."

Reyes has 2 more steals today - 5 in his last 2 games.

He could still get 90. Only guys in recent history who have done that are

Ricky Henderson - 4 times
Vince Coleman - 3 times
Lou Brock - once
Maury Wills - twice
Ron LaFleur - once
Omar Marino - once
Tim Rains - once

Nice to see a good outing from Perez. I was starting to get worried about our pitching.
Now it's all about the off-season for my Knicks. (and rooting for Boston to crush Indiana).
