05:26 PM - News: Ledee Up, Newhan Down

...posted by D.J. Short...
According to John Delcos of the Journal News, OF Ricky Ledee has been called up from Triple-A New Orleans while IF/OF David Newhan has been sent down.

Ledee is in the lineup tonight, batting ninth.

...when the mets signed ledee to a minor-league deal in march, i posted this...i'd say something has certainly went awry...

...as for newhan, he was often the last man off the bench...when he did actually get into a game, he pretty much always grounded out to the second baseman...it was one of those omar-type signings i thought would pay off...hey, maybe it still can...hang in there, dave...it's a long season...

Not a big move. Should have just cut Newhan and called up a pitcher since Leede will probably suck too.

Leede bat a stellar .094 for us last season. He'll do wonders for us.
Now it's all about the off-season for my Knicks. (and rooting for Boston to crush Indiana).

He's just a stopgap until Green or Alou returns.

I expect him to return to AAA and Newhan will be released or traded.

I was happy to see this. I hate Newhan.

Because we are in love with vets that suck. Just look at how much Franco gets to play. With Alou looking like he won't be back for a while, I think we should release Newhan and call up Ambres and let him and Car-go play LF. I know they both bat righty, but oh well.
