Yanks (34-31) @ Oakland(40-26): This team is Good but...

It's going to face a buzz saw like the Oakland A's with Sonny Gray and a rejuvenated Scott Kazmir. The A's ARE that team who has the qualm and could very well make it to the World Series IF they continue to grow, develop, and add ONE more arm to their rotation.

Meanwhile the Yanks SWEPT Seattle Mariners much to the chagrin of one Robinson Cano. Tanaka gets a complete game, for his TENTH Win! Derek Sanderson Jeter raises his avg to .271. Not bad for the retiring captain.

What's not so good is the fact, Beltran and McCann look done. Soriano and Brian Roberts also look done.

Despite the rotation being torn apart...Tanaka and Whitley are keeping the Yanks in the race.

Give Joe Girardi credit.

Score one for the good guys! Phelps pitched a heck of a game! Jetes up to .275! I'm putting my money on .298 by season's end for the final run of the Captain.

Gardner, Jeter, Ellsbury is the good news.

McCann, Beltran are the BAD news.

At least Tex can get an RBI.
