Post#1 » by 34Celtic » Fri Jun 1, 2007 3:51 pm

Noticed they had a thread having nicknames for Arod by making fun of him...so I thought...what the hell....

I'll start with Gay-vid Wright

^ Well, 70% of the MLB would be the best team in NY if they replaced the Mets so don't get too excited

Now if the Yankees and Mets joined forces, we'd have a team for the ages.

Maybe but the Yankees would give you the difference makers (Jorge, Jeter move to second....bc lets face it...Reyes is the better fielder, AROD move to first...bc lets face it, Wrights the better fielder and AROD is better than Delgado)....from there its a crapshoot in leftfield and Shawn Green isn't waking Bobby Abreu up from a coma to put you over the top, plus imagine Clemens, Pettitte, and Wang in your rotation to join Glavine and uh oh, that name again...John Maine, then Rivera in your bullpen...

Good God I've gone delusional :violin:

I don't want ARod on my team. I'd rather have Delgado, MUCH better in the clubhouse. Jetes can shift to 2b but he better get his lame fielding ass into position when trying to turn the DP. We can go with an OF of Beltran, Alou and Matsushi. Catcher I guess Posalad, even though LoDuca is having a great season and is a fiery team leader.

Pitching

Clemens I hate his guts and he's not welcome in the Mets clubhouse so he's off the team. We'll take Pettitte, Mariano and Wing.

Starting rotation would be

Pettitte
Ollie Perez
Chicken Wing
El Duque
Glavine

Bullpen

Maine
Feliciano
Joe Smith
Mota
Heilman
Mariano
Wagner

C Posada
1b Delgado
2b Jetes
SS Reyes
3b Wright
LF Alou
CF Beltran
RF Matsushi

No DH cause it sucks

Bench

Endy Chavez
Shawn Green
Paul LoDuca
Damien Easley
Johnny Damon (pinch hitter only) Can't have his girlie arm in the field

Batting Order

1.Reyes
2.Jeter
3.Beltran
4.Delgado
5.Wright
6.Posada
7.Alou
8.Matsushi
9.Pettitte

No point in this. The Mets love the Yankees, leave them be.

Why? If their mods want to let their posters be immature, then so be it. Keep the immature stuff over there. But there is no sense for it here, I'm sorry.

EDIT: And I'm aware that this thread actually went into another direction, but if you want to talk about combining forces then create another thread. The title alone will bring trolls and arguments.
