A's trade for Stephen Drew

The A's acquired veteran shortstop Stephen Drew from the Diamondbacks on Monday in exchange for minor league infielder Sean Jamieson, according to an Associated Press report. http://baseball.realgm.com/src_wiretap_ ... phen_drew/

Another great win against the O's last night. Hopefully Parker can continue things and win today.

Detroit is handling us rather easily. Come on A's!

6 games left, 3 vs Mariners, 3 vs Rangers, all at home. 4 GB of Rangers for the division, 1 GB of the Orioles for the #1 WC, 2 games ahead of LAA/TB for the final WC spot.

4-2 probably gets us in to the WC game. 6-0 could get us the division if the Rangers falter vs the Angels in their upcoming 3 game series.

Griffin, Straily, Milone, Parker, Blackley, and Griffin again...which means if we get in the WC game idk who will pitch. My guess is that they skip Griffin on the last game of the season and save him for the playoff. Idk if they will start Blackley again after his last two disasters, maybe they go with Ross.

I have to say this is the most improbable season of A's baseball I've ever seen in 20 years of following this team even if we fall apart down the stretch and don't make it. The 2001 team was not as improbable as this, that team had established players like Zito, Hudson, Mulder, Chavez and Tejada in their primes. This is madness. Go A's.

We still have a chance and I feel confident that we can beat the Rangers. Go A's!!
