Cain needs this game after his last two disastrous starts.

Bonds should sit right in that seat at every home game for the rest of time.

I guess that means he'll drop a sweet bunt in the playoffs and win my heart forever.

Yep, we'll just have to go through 7 years of one of the worst contracts in MLB until finally he comes through in the clutch and wins us another World Series

Another overreaction post:

Buster Posey is overpaid and overrated.

There, I said it.

But really, he's been a disappointment this year.

At some point we have to consider bringing up an arm....Hudson and Bum is all we've got and frankly I don't think that's going to be enough to make the playoffs.

We don't have any good arms that are even close to being ready. Our minor league pitching has been awful this year.

Edwin Escobar has the best stuff in Fresno, but I don't think he'd be an improvement over anyone in the rotation at this point. Chris Stratton was drafted as a guy we could bring up right away, but he's been pretty unimpressive in the minors, including a 5+ FIP in high A this year.

As far as prospects go, we're screwed if we're having to rely on them for help. Pitching anyway.

No one in our minor leagues is close to being ready. Hell, if it took them a month of having two absolutely horrible player at 2B just to call up Panik. If Hicks was hitting .215 with 11 HRs, Panik would still be in AAA right now.

Duvall and Susac are probably good to go. Hembree too.

Ok, I'll clarify. No one at positions we need are close to being ready. Duvall would be an idea if Panda leaves next year, though. Or Posey at 3rd...
