Has Saunders gotten a start yet? Hes always a replacement. I would like him to get more legit opportunities. =/

Rodney can be an adventure but Felix looked like he knew he was done...smiled when he came off the mound.

Damn. Not a bad job by Rodney. That change-up is dynamite. He was throwing 95 mph fastball and an 81 mph change-up. Was also throwing pitches in spots they were hard to square up.

M'S WIN! 4-1...let's take the series tomorrow.

He's done OK so far. He's sitting at .286/.348/.667 right now would be an amazing line if he finished the season at that level. I'm interested to see what he can do in Seattle as he's just seemed to struggle at home.

smoak looked great in anaheim, hasn't really gotten off the team bus in oakland. not that five games is a sample size of any kind, but history really makes it's case when we're talking justin smoak. i'm rooting for him, but i foresee the 4-hole being a season-long struggle for us. i just don't think smoak can be that guy over the course of 162 games. i've seen him look great for six week stretches, and then i've seen him go into complete tank mode for the next four months. i just... don't... know.

the problem is, if not smoak taking his game to the next level, we really don't have anyone capable of protecting cano. i'm not a cory hart guy. i have nothing against morrison, but i really don't think he's that guy. i like seager a lot, and you know he's going to go on one of his ridiculous streaks where he hits 9 doubles in 15 ABs to get his stat line back up respectability, but he's also very streaky. it would be unorthodox, but if ackley keeps hitting moving him to the 2-hole would be at least worth entertaining, as he would continue to get good pitches to hit when teams try to avoid cano, and that would move miller to 4th, which makes sense insomuch that of everyone on this team not named robinson cano, miller is probably the most likely to find himself on an All Star team this july.

if i might play armchair GM and continue to beat my favorite dead horse, it REALLY seems like kendrys would be ideal in the 4-hole. if we're over .500 when kuma and walker get back, i mean, a phone call has to be made, right? right?

Is there any doubt at all who is the best player in his sport in this city/state of ours? Felix. What's so cool about Felix is how he looks on the mound. I like the way he looks when he pitches, his style, his command. Just out of this world.

This is terrible. The A's gave out whistles on Little Leaguer day...and that's all I can hear on the broadcast is those damn kids in the stands blowing their whistles. They run a tight ship down there.

Almonte with another RBI and the M's take the lead! I really didn't expect Almonte to be one of the team's leading producers so far. Pleasant surprise.

yeah a horrible field bad plumbing and kids getting bracelets that whistle. reminds me of the last world cup in Africa. hard to watch a broadcast with all that background noise

This might be the most impressive offensive performance by the M's so far. Sonny Gray was exceptionally tough last year. They've made him work.
