Which is a good news, still room for improvement.

I'm happy for KP, he only didn't work here. Happens.

Luka has quickly reached next level and things are going great. We shall see what happens there's got the sesosn and if we add talent this off-sesson. I'm. ooking forward to seeing which players will be bought out on other teams and if any are worth signing.

Expectedly, Luka is the western conference player of the month for Dec/22

This is Luka's 3rd player of the month, his previous ones were Nov/19 and February/22, during the resurgence run of last year.

Mark Cuban: Luka Doncic has never suggested changes to the roster

Tim MacMahon: Mark Cuban denies that Luka Doncic has indicated he wants the roster to be upgraded before the trade deadline. Cuban: “Tim MacMahon got it dead wrong. Luka has never suggested, asked, demanded or discussed changes to the roster.”

What I wonder about is how Tim would know. There's a leak in the front office? Probably just making it up based on an expected idea?

In any case, it's an interesting case... perfectly normal to want improvements. But very odd to include the 'before trade deadline' part. Not like a miracle is going to happen.

Obviously the paradox here is that the Mavs arguably should have given the KP experiment more time and then fumbled the Brunson situation.

They fumbled the situation in the 2021 offseason, 2022 was inevitable, it's clear to me that Cuban pockets are limited and he wasn't able to pay the tax while keeping Brunson, his Crypto non sense, his drugs distribution endeavor seem to me as an attempt to generate free cash flow, and create a line of credit, let's be honest, other than broadcast.com, he hasn't done anything noteworthy business wise.
I don't know where Tim comes from, all of Dallas media guys who have access to the personnel are mouthpieces, Tim is the only guy not being paid by Cuban, this makes him more trustworthy to me, OTOH, he's ESPN, and they are known to want big names in big markets, and would prefer Luka on a rich east coast team or rich California team.

Everywhere i read people say Tim is not a reliable source because he has agenda towards Cuban or something... Yet your friend Chuck in general chat is saying that Tim is most reliable source and some Mavs fans agreed with him.

So all in all, i don't know if i want to believe this story or not. From what we have known from Luka over the years, he never complained about any team or teammates. Even when Slovenia was more or less ****, he was always happy to play with his guys. So i would personally trust Stein more than Tim.

But at the end of the day it's Cuban, i defended him in the past and we have all seen that Cuban is full of **** 99% of the time.

Based on where the Mavs are and how Brunson has played for the Knicks, should the Mavs have matched the Knicks offer, worry about trading him later if necessary?

I know he could have been extended for a lot less but that's water under the bridge.

Cuban decided to let Brunson walk away, not the first time he's done that.

Now, Mavs are lacking playmaker outside of Luka, so he may have to carry more of the load -- are his minutes and usage up over last season?

More importantly, can the Mavs match the regular season of last year and at least get to the second round this season?

It would be a step back from last season but it's still a comparable advance.

Presumably Luka and the team both want to see progression over the remaining years of his contract.

Man, Cuban neved maked an offer to Brunson. He never wanted to do that.

Brunson's choice shadowed his cheap intention, Cuban was very happy when Jalen said that we wanted the Knicks.

The big problem right now is the Luka's trade value , It will go down and down because now everybody knows that he is not happy here.

Luka's dad in Dallas. Is this the first time? Probably isn't, but I can't recall on top of my head. Certainly this is unique since he had special seats.

What do the Slovenia tabloids say about this? Any connection to that report from months ago about Luka fighting his mother for trade marks?

We need our best investigators on the case.
