I would prefer Kings. Grizz have quite a depth, i somehow wouldn't feel comfortable playing them in the 1st round.

Depends on Ja status, w/o Ja and Clarke they don't have good depth, but choosing opponents is a privilege for those who win in RS, Mavs aren't one of those teams.

Heh yeah, Mavs had terrible past 2 weeks and they are somehow back at the 5th spot lol. It's a bloodbath out there.

Mavs back up to 5th vs Kings on 538
https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2023-nba-predictions/

5th vs Suns on BBR:
https://www.basketball-reference.com/friv/playoff_prob.html

3/8 Games
Blazers @ Celtics (-10.5)
Thunder @ Suns (-13.5)
Raptors @ Clippers (-2.5)

Pretty much just need to avoid the Suns in rd1

The best finish I could see with Dallas is 4. With Denver, Sacramento and Phoenix above them.

If Dallas finishes for then there is a big likelihood that Memphis or Golden State finish 5. Which means they will have to fight tooth and nail to avoid a first round exit. I do not trust the team against Golden State so hoping its another team.

With KD out I am not 100% sure the Suns can catch the Kings or Grizz even with all their issues.

The 6th or 7th (yes I know) might be the best options if these teams stay put and would be the easiest route to the WCF to me which is still a long shot.

I think the Suns are resting KD on purpose to also avoid Golden State in the standings.

The tough thing with Dallas is if they are included in the play in and Luka gets shut down by Vanderbilt again, that's it. You dont even get to make the first round.

If the Vanderbilt guy can shut down Luka then Luka isn't a superstar.

Embiid gives Sixers their first lead of the night with a GW.

Lakers letting that much time run off before a foul was terrible.

Thanks Knicks

Mavs are tied with OKC (11th seed, outside of the playin) in the loss column and 2 games behind GSW/Clippers.
13 games left in the season, 3 of them B2B.
I expect a 7-6 record and a 41-41 record, which won't be enough for top 8 seed, they will either be 11th or need 2 play in to get the 8th spot.
Best case scenario is 10-3 run, and they finish 6th.
