I get it each player has there flaws, but if the first 10 games are to experiment why can't Grant or DJJ be used as the small ball 5? Both have done it in the past.

Is that a general question? Because it definitely makes very little sense today against an opponent that plays reasonably tall.

Just in general. Too much height and beef up from the Grizz.

Cause the Mavs would get outrebounded badly...Mavs already have problems getting rebounds,a smaller 5 would only amplify that...btw, Ayton Just had a 23 rebound game...I still think he'd be a good fit on this team...he would buy in with Luka and Kai and he wouldn't be asked to do much on O(Luka and Kai would feed him for easy baskets)...I hope that McGee wasn't the reason the trade didn't go though...Timmy has been good but Mavs could do without him and Holmes is a non factor...they only traded for him to get Omax, who we'll see if he has what it takes to be an NBA player

Point taken, but the excuse Friday was to match up and go small vs the Nets with Maxi/Powell. Just don't feel like going smaller without those 2 would have killed them there.

I think Kidd's Just talking bs...the core od the team is basicaly the same ,apart from Grant and Lively who surprised everybody...all the other newcomers were brought in to strenghten the bench, depth

I 100% believe that him saying that was BS which happens alot like using the first 10 games to experiment....

I totally did not see DJJ being our 2nd leading scorer with 22. Kudos to DJJ for drowning out the hate and pulling this game outta his hat.

Refreshing to finally see a big athletic wing like DJJ on the Mavs. Can do a little bit of everything. Was my wish they would sign him in the off season. Grant also continues to show he's been a very needed reinforcement aswell.

It's just Kyrie already missing games and Kidd still being the coach that kills the mood. Nice win though.

Yeah,I agree..the experimentation period was during the preseason,it can't be now...so far the only consistent Players have been Luka,Grant and surprisingly Timmy...I think Kyrie will find his touch, it's not like he wasn't getting good looks,he Just wasn't making them...Green has stretches when he looks really good and then those when he makes foolish mistakes, but he's still Young, Hopefully gets more consistent...Lively should ve getting minutes as Long as he stays out of foul trouble...as for the others, the bench is a lot better this season...someone can explode each game, like DJJ this time

Exum's minutes are the most confusing to me. He seems to always only play in the 1st half, even when he plays well.

But thats's Kidd...his rotations are confusing...it seems that when the game is tight he goes with the Players who've been with the team for a while or runs the starters to the ground,so that when the last quarter comes they're tuning on fumes(at least that was last year, thats's why they Lost that many close games...besides the bad last plays he drew)

To be fair he did get a big knock on the head so it did make sense to keep him out of the game.

41Dirk41 since you were incredulous last game about Powell you have to say something about him this game. It’s only fair. I’ll **** talk him when he **** up but you have to admit when he does good.

You said he was a liability on defense last game. Well he had 4 blocks in 12 minutes tonight.

You said Dallas was losing when he was on the court last game. Well he had a +/- of 10 tonight in 12 minutes.

It’s time. Last game you deflected and obfuscated the point like you always do with your trolling. But not this time. Say one nice thing about a player who just had a good game for a team that you claim to be a fan of.

He was so good that he didn't play the entire 2nd half and we won... This is when i like Powell, play garbage minutes against a garbage opponent.

Unfortunately Lively had foul problems otherwise Powell minutes would have been even fewer.
What an unlucky thing for the Mavs :banghead:
