PG:)D.J. Augustin
SG:)Tyreke Evans
SF:)Shawn Marion

Al Jefferson is only one i would be Ok with.. besides Dirk and Marion.. Augustin and Evans as starts, No. As back ups Im content with it.

Re: Starting Five Predictions for 2013-2014
Jefferson would be a horrible add to this team. He and Dirk would not be able to score enough to make up for the points they would give up every night in the paint. Evans might be a good add with the right contract and coach Carlisle getting a hold of him.

I'm beginning to think we should just sign proven vets and forget about experiments (Collison, Mayo and Kaman) again.

Jose Calderon- 3 years, 15 million
Andre Iguodala 4 years, 40 million
Tiago Splitter- 4 years, 36 million
G- Calderon
G- Iguodala
F- Marion
F- Nowitzki
C- Splitter
We should have enough cap room for that.

I have little faith in big changes at this point. Its going to be all or nothing and I think the big names don't leave guaranteed money on the table. I think all big name max guys sign with their current team.

Oh how do I hope you are correct but Dallas had no luck finding a better PG last season. After Dallas puts all of their eggs in the CP3 basket,Paul drags out his decision and passes on Dallas, Dallas will have lost most hope of finding a better PG than James or James level PG. Its will be big name free agent history repeating itself over and over and hopefully that cycle will break in the near future.

Re: Starting Five Predictions for 2013-2014
MCW- Devin Harris - Nick Calathes all will start at some point maybe Nate Robinson instead of Nick or Nate Wolters could be our 2nd rd pick, I could see us drafting 2 pg's.
Tony Allen Morrow Cuningham
Marion Carter Crowder
Dirk Wright
Steven Adams/ Tiago Splitter/ Timofey Mozgov platoon note Adams from a purchased 1st round pick
We probably would go with 4 PG's if we got this situation I would really want to bring over Nick and use our 1st pick on a better center. I think MCW will fall and we will take him. I'd rather get Schroeder but he will possibly be gone since he has impressed a lot of people. MCW is not win now ready IMHO but may be a superstar talent for the future and if so by seasons end should be showing it or else he is a bust at PG good thing he is 6'6" he can play SG if he fails at PG. I thnk if he plays SG and we have another decent PG that he learns that position on the job and splits PG duty with someone else.
It worked for Terry and Kidd and obviously we did win with that approach. PG's have a higher BBIQ and handle the ball better so 2 PG front courts turn the ball over much less and if they can score as well they are the way to go. Having 2 PG's looking to maximize getting the ball to Dirk is a good thing as well.
I think we need to snag 2 centers as Wright is not a center and Sarge is not a good enough solution there if we get into the playoffs. Size and I mean real size is needed 6'11" 7'1" would be the range.
Tony would primarily be a defensive stopper at the 2 we need to replace Marion eventually and find another defensive wing. 2 PG offense is cool with me if we get the right 2 PG's and they can defend. Marion is still very effective but lets be honest his game could slip anytime as he ages and we need another younger defensive stopper to rely on. Doesn't have to be Tony could be someone else.

There is ZERO chance this happens.
Do you think Dallas will actually not spend any money of their cap space? Morrow/Jame/Wright will cost you maybe 5-million total. Where does Dallas spend the other 19-million we have?
There are too many available guys that we will target
Paul Pierce
Kevin Garnett
Danny Granger
Pau Gasol
Not saying these are ideal fits, but if we completely strike out in free agency, we'll get one of these big contracts that can provide some help for Dirk. We may not hit a homerun, but we're not going to strike out. We'll get on base at the very least. The lineup above would take us TRYING to put a bad team on the floor to accomplish. No way we'll be that bad.

actually amnestied Gasol might happen good call. I can't see LA holding onto the guy if they have no shot this season with the franchise in injury hell.

Re: Starting Five Predictions for 2013-2014
Gasol could be amnestied, but I believe they would be able to find some better trades involving cheaper players.
I.e., Bargnani and Gray for Gasol would save LA more than $5.8 million this year and reduce the number of roster spots needing to be filled by 1 (saving at least another $500K in salary that they don't have to sign).
Toronto may do that to remove the 2014-15 year of Bargnani while LA sees that at shifting $6.3 mil to the next year and spending the tax money to the player instead of the other NBA owners.
Not saying that the trade will happen or that it makes full sense for both teams, but more so saying that it is that type of trade I could see LA doing before amnestying Paul. A similar idea would be Ilyasova + Gooden If Milwaukee wanted to be major spenders in 2014 but needed to fill their minimum salary in 2013-14.

I'm going to be bold here and say we have 12 different lineups in 2013 and 13 in 2014.
And the last lineup will not have Dirk in it.

I don't know. Just saying, threads like these are kinda useless when Rick has 20 different lineups throughout the year.
