MKG(and Neal) is out for this game. Parsons needs to take advantage of that and be really aggressive attacking the basket. And I'd love it if Lance got caught up in his matchup with Monta and started trying to do too much. Big Al can hurt us, but no one else on that team really scares me. Kemba is overrated imo.

They have no one at all to take Dirk. I guess Marvin Williams gets first crack and then probably Zeller. No reason Dirk can't put up 25-30 on his usual efficiency. This is a win we should be able to get on the road.

Hey guys what do you think about make a deal with the wolves for brewer???

I read some nice article about the 6 Best Trade Destinations for Minnesota Timberwolves' Corey Brewer

Under the tutelage of Rick Carlisle, this team has become decent on the defensive end. Now allowing 106.8 points per 100 possessions, via Basketball-Reference.com, Dallas ranks No. 19 throughout the NBA, which is by no means a terrible spot to be when the offense is so unstoppable. However, it can get better.

Much better, in fact.

Tyson Chandler is still capable of serving as a quality defensive anchor in the paint, but he needs perimeter players who are actually going to lighten his workload. Facing a constant assault on the rim night in and night out isn't going to promote success, especially given his aging body. As it stands, Dallas doesn't have many perimeter stoppers at all, especially with no true 2-guard backing up Monta Ellis when he needs a breather.

Not only would Brewer's transition stylings add another threatening piece to the Dallas attack, but he could shore up the wing defense. Plus, having both him and Al-Farouq Aminu on at the same time could give the Mavericks a brief defensive lean. The excessive gambling could be problematic, but you have to take the bad with the good when working with Brewer on the perimeter.

"We know, to be as good a team as we want to be, we've got to get into the top 10 in defense," Carlisle said during the preseason, as reported by Eddie Sefko of The Dallas Morning News. "And that's going to be challenging. On paper right now, we're somewhere in the middle of the pack if you go on individual analytics. I don't see it happening overnight, but I believe we can do it. We got pieces that fit."

The pieces would fit even better if Brewer was added to the mix, especially since Carlisle already knows what he's working with. After all, they were working together in 2011, even if the swingman rarely got off the pine.

What Dallas Would Offer: Raymond Felton and multiple second-round picks

Offense seems to be clicking so far.

I really hope I'm wrong with my "all-offense, no defense" feeling about this team.
If this team can be top 10 in def eff then we can go places. :D

Hopefully we hold onto this lead, third quarter production is what I'm concerned about

Sad and awesome at the same time.
Mavs have had a history of mediocre centers.

Dirk loves Tyson though - sure beats playing with Shawn Bradley, Dampier, and Haywood. Hope we can keep Tyson after this season at a reasonable price but ... probably not.

This team might have a historically good offense.

You don't like Tyson

Cuban probably learns his lesson and gives Tyson the max next time.

I love Tyson!
One of my favorite Mavs of all time. Crazy too since this is only his second season here (in non-consecutive years too). I just feel iffy about giving a guy who will be 33 next season a big long-term contract. I hope Tyson just gets all warm and fuzzy with this team and decides to sign here with a nice contract 3 years or so about $10-12 mil/yr but that's probably pie-in-the-sky thinking.

Yeah it does feel like Tyson was already a Mavs for the past 10 years or so. Just a perfect fit to Dirk and to any PG that can throw a lob.

Dirk did give the Mavs a discount, so let's hope Tyson does the same.
