Rajon Rondo to Dallas official.

The Dallas Mavericks and Boston Celtics have agreed upon a trade involving Rajon Rondo.

The Mavericks would send Brandan Wright, Jae Crowder, Jameer Nelson, one future first round pick and a future second round pick to the Celtics for Rondo and Dwight Powell.

"The deal is on course to happen tonight," said one source.

Adrian Wojnarowski reports the Houston Rockets have effectively dropped out of talks, with the Celtics focused on wrapping a deal with the Mavericks.

Gonna miss Wright, feel bad for Jameer..he can shoot it when hes healthy. And Crowder was coming on some defensively..but all in all we will take this deal. Too bad we couldnt get a backup big man back in return.

You guys got a hell of a player. Who is this Wright guy? Can he rebound and defend or is he just a throw in role player? I'm gonna be pissed if he's just another jump shooting PF.

You got a great athlete in Wright, leads the league in fg% last i checked.

Hes long and will get alot of alley oops, man will I miss seeing those..

Wright dunks and blocks shots. Has a solid mid range J and is automatic around the rim. Spectacular athlete. Throw heaps of lobs to him. Doesn't really rebound though. We'll sure miss him.

Shame we don't have the guy to throw him alley oops...

you guys are lucky Cavs got the incredibly lucky #1 pick and stole Love from us. Oh well, I'll be rooting for Dallas in the playoffs, hard to not root for Dirk and Rondo. Talk about a quick turnaround for Dallas.

I will miss Rondo in a Celtics uniform. Sucks that we had to trade him away, but at least he got sent to a contender. Going to miss his work ethic, his brilliance, and his intense personality. Dallas fans are going to love him.

If there's one thing you guys should be excited about, it's the playoffs. Come playoff time, Rondo becomes the MVP Triple-Double Rondo that Celtics fans were used to watching. I had the pleasure to watch him continuously out-rebound big men, passing spectacular passes, and scoring at will when the team needed him too. 100% guaranteed that you guys will love him.

No Rondo to Wright alley-oops...well, I like Rondo. He brings a lot of toughness, BBIQ and PO experience on the table. Wright is a great player on limited minutes, energy guy off the bench - will miss him on the team.

Damn ... if this is true it's sad to see Wright go. He was one of my favorite role players on this team. He came in as a minimum salary reclamation project and the organization built him up to be a great role player.

Does RC have to play Smith now? This (lack of) front court depth scares me.

Damn not a C fan but I grew up seeing Rondo become an allstar player in green.

But gooooood ALL HELL YEAH! Rondo as starting PG for the Mavs is win! I'mma miss Wright too

Congratulations guys. You've got yourselves one HELL of a player. You may have a few bumps in the road with him during the regular season, due to both "meaningless" games and him still finding himself after two injuries, but when playoffs come, oh boy. The fiercest competitor of them all.
