Around the league -- Mavs board edition

Post#1 » by Mavrelous » Sun Oct 29, 2023 10:39 am

I'm sticking this one for comments from teams around the league, we didn't have that.

Pelicans are looking good, Zion looks healthy and Ingram shook off the bad US team episode and the rest of team is bombing from 3, if they stay healthy they will be a problem.
Thunder are a problem, they can lock down on defense and burst out offensively for episodes.

Cason Wallace is great, some of the guys wo went ahead of him may develop, but this guy will be amazing 3&D guard with some extra, totally worth it for Presti to make the trade.

Yeah Cason Wallace was one of those guys I really liked during the draft. He's one of those guys that could have fit really well with Luka. Kind of like my fascination with pairing Jrue Holiday with him. Not sure he has Jrue potential but I think he can be a high level role player on a championship team

On another note, the Nuggets look like crazy good out there the 1st 3 games. They legit look like they're just messing around with teams out there at times.

Jokic was toying with OKC while looking disinterested, what a player...

Wild OT game going on in Sacramento. Only thing this game is missing is the "devalued" C. Wood

Watched the 1st half of Rockets Warriors game yesterday, I'm still puzzled at the FVV signing, GPII on the other side was the best player in the game.

Udoka is a tough coach, and the Celtics sucked at the beginning of his coaching tenure there too. By the end of the season they should figure it out I would imagine, but youre right... I wouldve expected an established vet like FVV to transition a little easier. I dont care though, Rockets can stay down.

You can already see results, Jalen Green is more purposeful and under control and Jabari Smith is more focused on his strengths, Brooks also no longer takes stupid shots.

Outside of Mavs, I’ve only seen the Spurs.

They definitely need a true PG. Not sure what Pop is thinking with Sochan running the team. Only 3 games in, but they struggle finding Victor on easy alley-oops. Their core is still way too young and finding their way. Another high draft pick incoming.

I’m just curious how much longer Pop will coach.

They have Tre Jones who is not bad...

Harden to the Clips, Morey got what he wanted in the end...

I left a word out of my first sentence… “They definitely need a true starting PG.”

I agree Tre is that guy for them.

Sochan seems like a 6th man energy guy with this roster. Ideally he could start at the 4, but Spurs have kept Victor away from the other team’s 5.

Curious who the 76ers will chase after with those FRPs.

I doubt they'll chase anyone, they'll play it out and use their cap space next year.

I could see them making a play for Lavine if the Bulls keep sliding. He seems like a good fit next to Embiid

Spurs are no push overs, just beat the Suns in PHX.

Same team beat a healthy Jazz team on Sunday...

Jazz on back2back. ;) Suns traded more or less everything for having the big 3.
