If you don’t want me to inform a fellow Aussie fan of your Josh Green Lover era style obsession then you should try mentioning him in less than 90% of your post even when he has nothing to do with the situation. **Kisses**

Full disclosure, I am an Aussie and I love the Aussies that are on this team, and therefore I want the Mavs to do really well.

Excellent first half so far, Luka triple double in the first half is completely bonkers.Kyrie shooting well also.

You can tell Dante is rusty with his shooting, but I believe he is a better shooter on 3's than he has shown, he has proven that over his time in Europe, perhaps just patience is required. He has impacted this game in every way other than shooting so far this game.

It sucks that Green is out for potentially an extended time, but it is what it is.

P.S. Headband Luka definitely has to stay. (I was also born as a Slav so I love Luka)

Welome aboard!

Didnt see much of the game but good to see Prosper got some quality mins.
We could use his size and length on the wing.
The sooner he develops, the better.

Those Jazz are really bad.
Not impressed by Collins, he can maybe be good role player at max. No trade assets for him please.
Kessler obliterated by Lively, ok he has Luka

Exum can does a lot of good things but he can't shoot and in the PO that hurts too much, he is still a 10/15 minutes player like we said unfortunately. No more.

Kidd destroyed Holmes confidence again but probably Kidd is trying to retains hardly his job and let play Cuban buddy can help him, fortunately the game was basically over.

It was a 48 minutes garbage game, no indication at all.

Go look in the offseason and summer league thread. It was 41Dirk41, Bob8, and Daoneandonly who were the non believers.

I can understand that you lost all of your previous battles and you need revenge for your ego but change the past is just pathetic

Nobody here is said that he is bad but just that he is can't be ready to start for a contender.
And it's still true. I'm sorry for you Powell lover.

Yeah ,his 7 assists no turnovers and plus ++++ 40 to make his season totals of 31 assists to 5 turnovers ,just makes him a 10 minute player ..... in your mind ,he;s gonna get more playing time whether you like it or not ... hater

If he continues to shoots 23% from 3 he will be 15 minutes player in PO and fights with Green for playing time. No more. Whatever you like or not

I like Exum but it's the reality, we need shooters around Luka and Kyrie when they are doubled, in PO teams are scouted and Dante will let wide open all day long if he can't makes those shoots.

I hope he will improves but at 28yo i don't think he can be more than a good role player like DJJ.

Our defensive intensity looked really good (or maybe the Jazz were just that bad :P ) for most the game. Similar to the effort during the 30-0 run against OKC.

Even saw Luka stop his man from penetrating by getting in a lower defensive stance. 8-)

Exum, DJJ, and Lively look like the best defensive players to play next to Luka and Ky. Would love to see Exum get that 3pt shot going, he’s done well at everything else.

Yea the most I'd give up for Collins is a core of Holmes/Green. Doesnt work salary wise so probably no deal to be had

A little bit of everything actually. Luka looks like he's playing much better defense this year even though stats may not exactly show that. He's trying more.

Yeah agree Exum needs to get better with shooting, people guarding him like he's Rondo, that won't work well with Doncic and Kyrie, he has to shoot when he's open and make some.

Luka & Kyrie both seem to be trying on D, but there's only so much they can do on that end given their skillsets and the load they have to exert on offense

I think it's more of the Jazz being bad than the defense being better, they don't have anyone who can create his own shot except their rookie, and Sexton, and played many non shooters, in addition, they don't have a lot of size on the wing, which is Mavs Achillis heel.

Yea Mavs are still in need of better wing defenders and a backup big. Our two biggest needs are a starting F to play with the 4 we know are starters and a backup big who can ensure the team doesnt completely flop when Lively sits,

Agreed. I can’t recall the Jazz ever doubling or trapping Luka or Ky last night. Made their lives easier on offense and saved them some energy to exert on d.

That Holmes dunk on Kessler was insane... Unfortunately Powell has better friends.

3. More Exum = more pace

Exum starting was a big reason why Mavs ran so hard:

This yr Mavs have 14.8% transition frequency overall but that jumps to 19.1% with Exum on the floor which is same as the NO 1 transition team(Hawks)

Exum had 7 assists, 4 came in early shot clock

2. Bigger Jazz couldn't catch smaller, but faster Mavericks

I wrote in my preview that it will be a big vs small matchup. With Grant OUT and Exum starting Mavs were running out of the gate.

31 fast break points, 20% transition frequency. A joy to watch Mavs pushing the pace...
