Mavs Board Rules and Guidelines -- Please read

Given many recent heated discussions, we decided to start enforcing the rules for civil and pleasant discussions on the board.
We encourage disagreement, it's the main driver for healthy discussions, we understand the team has 2 superstars and they attract fans and detractors alike, we encourage basketball discussions around them, but we won't allow derailment of threads, and we won't allow threads to taken over by personal bickering between posters, some of the threads have become unbearable.
This is a relatively small community, we didn't want to suspend anyone, but we're reaching a point where it's bothering other posters, and hindering the progress of discussion, we will start to enforce a set of rule, to make it more pleasant, here are a strict rules to follow:

1. Do NOT bait other posters, state your opinion, criticize other posters opinion, do it in informative and respectful manner, to encourage discussion.

2. Do NOT engage in personal attacks, use proper language, avoid ad hominem argumentation and focus on the subject and idea not the person.

3. Do NOT backseat moderate, and do NOT discuss your view of moderating in public discussion, any criticisms and suggestions regarding moderating the forum, go through the report function and personal messages.
