RS 23/24 - Mavs vs Heat (Thursd. 730PMEST)

Post#1 » by Dirk » Wed Mar 6, 2024 11:35 am

I suppose we're bound to win a game. Probably this one*.

Image

*Who am I kidding? This Miami team is probably better than the Pacers and Sixers. So it would be a major feat to do an 180 and actually win it.

In this game, there will be a new lineup and new rotation.

Place your bets on the changes?

I guess DJJr? Will replace Green.

100% there will be some changes. Except for Timmy. Everyone is touchable.

Yeah that might be it and perhaps Gafford starting over Lively....I think they'll try that out

I'm also hoping Hardy gets a chance early, not Just garbage time

Kidd has the solution, THJ and Maxi in the starting lineup. Don't worry guys, our coach will find a way... To lose again and again.

Please stop the long term bleeding by losing to the Heat as well. That will speed up the process of the coaching change.

This team who gets money in droves doesnt care about winning, so why should we watch. I say boycott the games and tell them to stick the ticket prices where it doesnt shine until Cuban and Kidd are gone.

You're joking but at some point, years before, that actually was their starting lineup, -Kyrie +DFS :D

I was here for that. Nothing like DFS hitting 4/5 threes one day and then going 1/8 the next.

The Carlisle era mavs (THJ, Maxi, Powell) all need to go. They're careers are likely done. Time for new guys to step up.

It's time to close the rotations, Luka-Kyrie-DJJ-PJ-Lively starting 5.
Exum and Gafford solid minutes from the bench.

Try THJ, Green and Maxi for a couple of minutes, if they are still not efficient bury them on the bench and try Hardy or Lawson.

We can't do experiments at 20 games from the end. Stupid Kidd.

With how bad the Mavs defense has been that is a sitback defense .The Mavs need Exum applying pressure full court and try to create an aggressive defense . DJJ cant play full court or guard the primary ballhandler and we know kyrie and luka cant either.

If you put Exum in the S5 we have no ballhandler from the bench... Do you want to see THJ and Green dribble or create with the ball? I don't honestly.

I'm ok to finish the game with Luka-Kyrie-Exum-PJ-Gafford or Lively but this team need balanced lineups all game long.

Kidd experiments were a complete failures, he have to play guys in their best spot.
THJ can only shoots for 3. Stop. If he is ice cold put Hardy in the mix.
Green plays in fastbreak or take corner 3s. Stop.

We dont need a ballhandler from the bench since one of Kyrie and Luka is always on the floor at all times . Exum insures that theres always 2 ballhandlers on the court together . We've already seen this before Exum's foot bothered him. Staggering the 3 ballhandlers throughout the game. Now we have Gaff,Lively and PJ handling the front court in the same way. That's 6 players. Then have DJJ and Green as the energy /defensive guys as the 7th-8th rotation players with Maxi and THJ filling out the 9th and 10th off the bench.

It's not work unless one of those 3 go to the bench in the first 3/4minutes of the game and then it's completely a no sense.
Start Exum from the bench is the best solution for having at least 2 ballhandler on the court all game long.

If Exum can't stay healthy we have a problem but he was throw out of NBA for a reason. It's not a surprise.
