Luka should win mvp if we can finish top 6 in the west.

I loved how Kyrie screamed at PJ after the 3.

It is the strategy. They actively play the stats and allow whoever the worst 3 point shooter % wise on the court to just shoot. Basically rotate enough (and close the lane) until it gets to that guy. Today was the rookie, Taylor Hendricks. Other games it was guys like Giddey, Sochan, etc. Pretty sure they're gonna try this again K. Ellis against the Kings.

I can see why they do it but I'm not confident in this strategy against playoff teams in a playoff series.

I can't comment the final 2 minutes with Maxi at the C... Kidd is joking with the fanbase.

What they did to Giddey in the OKC game was very rude, felt bad for the guy.
Yeah, PO is where the problem is, and jump shooting teams also, they couldn't stop P&R with Walker Kessler who is a non-shooter, I'm not sure how effective it is, but, Luka and Kyrie barely moved on defense, so it's good for 1st game of a B2B, I have to think they'll start switching more in the PO.

It's a good game plan, in modern NBA you can't play with a bad 3 points shooter in the back court.

Giddey will be wide open all PO games for sure.

I'm predicting Mavs to be #5 seed and face #4 Pelicans in the first round, small chance we even get #4 and have HCA against them. Clippers are free falling and we'll beat out Kings.

Kings won unfortunately, we must at least split with them.

Pelicans is still very competitive even Ingram is out. H.Jones and T. Murphy are very good players. Fox/Sabonis always play very well against us. Just hope newcomers PJ and Gafford can somehow be able to contain them.

Tim and Luka have a competition going on who will miss more shots per game.

We need to win this game and then at least split with the Kings after that. Kings only have 4 more road games we have 8. We also have another b2b that is both on the road, pretty brutal. However the strength of our opponents overall is pretty poor so we need to win.

Kings game is b2b, and then we will need to travel from Sacramento to Houston and then back to the SF. Poor scheduling due to things that happened during the season.

That being said Mavs rested well lately. The games are not too tough with 2 Utah game. Luka had been under heavy load but moving alright so I am not concerned too much. Kyrie is still healthy which is a big positive considering what you'd expect from him on average season. Hope PJ's shot will come back in next weeks.

1-Stay healthy
2-Get 5th/6th seed

The two Kings games are not B2b, we play Utah tonight then @Sacramento tomorrow night which is the b2b, then have two days off then @Sacramento again Friday. Ridiculous.

I said Kings game is b2b, I did not say Kings games are b2b.

Sacramento to Houston is a long flight and then Houston to SF. Lots of miles...

Pels have a tough schedule so I dont expect them to get to the 4th seed.
Luckily Suns drop another super easy Spurs game. Yesterday was the night for the Texas teams for sure, all three won.

Hey lets bring a double Kings game thread! Really not concerned about them that much. 1-1 and 2-0 is more likely then 0-2.

SHould have been a much easier W, but the important thing is they got it. PJ, Gaff, and Kyrie played well. Lively deserves more minutes and THJ should play way less. Problem is our lack of wings, so you almost have to play him a little

Lively will have his time. He is a rookie yet.
Gafford is a beast now and he can't play less than 25/30 minutes.

THJ from the bench 10/15 minutes per game is good but just to shoot open 3s. No dribble. No pass. No create.
Maybe Hardy can be better but Kidd doesn't trust in him.

I agree that we need another solid wing... Luka-Kyrie-PJ-Gafford is a very solid rotation.
DJJ can't really shoots for 3 and don't create enough space.
Josh is a roller coaster.
Exum is a heavy injury prone.
