Kyrie's clutch dominance in 2023/24: With a 20 game min: Kyrie has the best clutch winning record in the league at 16-4, best +/- at 3.8, third best clutch PPG of at 4.2 points, best FG% at 60% (3 clutch PPG min), best FT% at 95.5% (1 clutch FTA min.), best EFG% at 68.9% and best TS% at 75.9%

4Q beast!

How we all going to feel when Kyrie snatches the Finals’ MVP from Luka this year?

We going to send our mod-Dirk to investigate what happened behind closed doors.

In 2011, in some ways Jason Terry was the true Finals MVP, but obviously didn't win as the award is usually influenced by status/entire playoffs run. It'd take a lot for Luka not to be the MVP in a title winning season. Luka has averaged 32.5/ 9.3 / 7.9 in the playoffs and he's likely to eclipse that since he's improved.

I imagine this may be the first time Luka has played with someone who at times can look even more skilled than him. Normal/casual fans (so not RGM users) in Slovenia must be confused watching some of the games - that Rockets game was early and I pictured a larger audience watching and wondered what random people must have felt seeing the Rockets desperately doubling someone else as he scored again and again.

Slovenia loves basketball, so we know NBA very well :D

But yeah, usually nr1 star gets it. Many thought Pau Gasol should have been MVP instead of Kobe at that time as well.

This Luka reminds me of the Kobe approach. I do not mind this at all. Come out super aggression versus the lesser teams and punch them in the mouth. I dont mind that at all vs certain teams. I like that he is attacking quick. No reason to waste time with any dribble on certain teams.

This game makes me wish they just give Luka the MVp after we get to 50 games. He's been just as good as anyone in the east record wise and he's battled through more stuff with the injuries to kyrie and the trades...plus he's better than shia overall....and i dont think jokic has been more impactful this season. 73 pts, playing hurt, playing w/o kyrie /the trades at mid season, the improved defense ....

Can Miles Bridges transform to a model citizen if he were to reunite with PJ Washington?

It looks like this situation was dealt with by the courts. I do not know the details of the issue nor do I know what type of person he is. I guess its up to the Mavs organization to do a character assessment before they bring him in, if thats what they decided to do...not sure we have the salary cap to bring him in unless there was a sign and trade, possibly? Anyway, I would like us to keep our minds open in this regard as we think about bringing in another 3 or 4.

It's hillarious watching Hornets trying to post up Grant like he's Kobe or something... Fails every time.

When this game is over and we win the magic number to clinch a top #6 seed is 1.

Any win or Suns loss or Pelicans loss gives it to us.

Is it just me or do the rims/backboards sound real janky in this arena? Every time Gafford dunks the ball it sound like they are going to fall.

Luka most points in a season for a Mav, and it wasn't Dirk it was Mark Aquirre.

That's what I meant. We were able to get Kyrie at huge discount because of the potential off court issue. Miles Bridges, if signed at a good value, can be another versatile and explosive addition. Also PJ is doing a good job not letting Hornets feel bad today so there could be future deals.

Also this is only Luka's 69th game, so that's impressive.

I think flat earth discussions vs potential wife beating and child abuse allegations do need to be looked at differentiated though. Especially with Ky and Luka having young families. Can kill chemistry really quick for a 5th starter level player...

Doncic's potential assists will sky rocket after this game.

Another one of those games where we should have closed the lid on the game in the 3rd but instead left it open by messing around a bit too much on offense. Now Kyrie and Luka have to play the 4th again.

Luka showing off too much and the lead is shrinking. Shooting one footed shots and making silly passes.
