If we are praying to get some help from Prosper, we will be in serious trouble.

Our team is not winning the championship this year, we all know that. But if we perform within expectations, we can beat the Clippers.

Yea we can be hopeful, but also realistic. If we can beat LAC it would be wonderful, even see what happens next round if that happens. But cant see us beating Denver in a 7 game series.

Then retool in the offseason, look Josh green square in the eye and tell him he sucks and to stay home until he's contacted about where he's been traded.

Hope THJ's expiring can also net a useful piece.

Haha i can admit it may be a bit much, so aggravating watching him play. He's so carless and inconsistent, then watching guys drafted after him like Maxey, Bane, McDaniels, and IQ; its just inexplicable why they took him.

Exum (25-30) /Maxi (25-30) /Lively (15-20) (if healthy) would be the main bench rotation, and THJ up to 15 min, Josh Green less than 10 based on situation unless superhot. TJ and OMax would not see the floor unless it is a blowout in either direction.

Even though guys are trying to paint a picture of superior play with 5 out with Maxi ,this is the playoffs and not the regular season. The Mavs are going against a superior strategist and a guy who has coached a Champioship team and conference games . In a 5 out I'd make Maxi shoot every shot and play 5 against 4.
With Lively back and sharing the Center with Gafford .....they're is no need for 3 Centers playing and sharing minutes.
Force Clippers to play 5 on 5 defense and have to defend the rim running abilities of Gaff and DLive.

This is why a wing heavy team like the Clippers gives OMax a look to see if his late season play gets him a look to see if it carrys over against the Clippers.

Amazing how all these injuries disappear when the playoffs appear.

OMax was simply not that good to deserve minutes. Its like Green’s early years. Some poster blamed Carlisle but Green was much worse and I notice many here still dont trust him.

Omax playing meaningful minutes would mean if Kawhi-PG abused our forward/center rotation.

Unlike 3-4 years ago, Mavs now have solid centers and more options on the wing. PJ-Maxi then DJJ-Green-Exum while having Gafford-Lively.

Omax shouldnt play meaningful if things go right for Mavs. His athleticism is exciting but not sure about playing him in playoffs without being good enough for regular season.

We don't need any experiments, Mavs should play as short rotation possible. 5 starters + Exum, Lively, Kleber. Josh and THJ 10 min max.

No way the Mavs are prepping for this series any other way than in anticipation of Kawhi playing and at a near 100% level. Even if he is compromised, they still have so many wings that its probable that the offense would still operate in a similar manner regardless of whether he plays or not.

Clippers are one of the best 3 point shooting teams in the league. Forcing them inside and having Gafford/PJ/Lively/Kleber contest at the rim should be the plan on defense and then hunting Zubac, Harden, and Russ should be the plan on offense no matter what.
