Yea I particularly liked how Luka went to Kleber to congratulate as that was the offensive rebound to seal the game!
Some people blamed Luka for shouting to Maxi and said Luka is not supportive but abusive/destructive.

This is not true. Luka simply tried to wake up his teammates to remind this is playoffs now.
This is a leadership type as well. You dont always need to be ‘fake supportive’ to be a good teammate. Sometimes you need to wake up your teammates.

Mavs have outplayed the Clippers for 3 halves, just had the Game 1 first half disaster if not for that we're probably up 2-0. Oh well I'll take 1-1 all things considered. Time to move to Dallas Friday.

Then pushing PJ isnt a basketball move at all.

Did Kidd get credit for the last min successful challenge? It was a great and critical call to get the ball back, not having to risk Clippers' another point or offensive rebound.

Also even though Luka was grinded to 45min, the ~10sec substitution during free throw followed by a time out was a nice move to give him a much needed rest.

Agreed. Players have started fights on the court for faaaaar less. It reminds me of Draymond where the refs almost look scared to call a tech on them out of fear. It's ridiculous.

Told you not to worry and Kawhi being back will result in a totally different Mavs. Harden and Russ offense was also a bit of a fluke. But this Mavs team is so predictable it's actually freaking annoying lol...

Luka still didn't have a good offensive game for his own standards and Kyrie still has another gear. People say how Mavs are in trouble if LAC shoot better %'s, well guess what, same goes for Mavs and specially Doncic.

So, if Mavs defense continues to hold like it did so far, i would say LAC are in big troubles specially if Luka has his normal offensive shooting %'s and numbers.

According to ESPN Stats & Information, the Clippers shot only 2-of-17 from the floor when Doncic was the primary defender. LA missed all 11 shots that Doncic contested, the second-most field goal attempts contested without allowing a make in a playoff game over the past five years.

Somehow Gaf and Lively don't work against the clippers which i don't understand.
on the other hand winning without Gaf and Liv dominating against the clippers is somehow unexpected
Maxi with a much needed vintage game. He is somehow still one of the better defenders in that league.

With all that upside that we have (Bigs, Luka's %, Dante) I am optimistic again. Hopefully Green will get THJs minutes and plays his ass off in defense. His corner 3 will come back. Didn't play a lot of minutes the last games

But can we please make our FTs? i don't want that to cost us any games. Especially when the clips are basically making all of them except Zubac

I think Clippers have great size advantage over the Mavs. Among the top few teams, the Mavs only has size advantage over the OKC team. I don't like the optimism before game 1. Clippers is still a team to beat with or without Leonrard. The Mavs is playing rookies while the Clippers is playing veterans. This is the difference. How the young Mavs performs under pressure and adversity in an elimination game like that pays dividend big time, the Mavs gets hot at the right time this game to pull the game away. I think Lively and Waashington makes smart and timely plays in key moment, This ruins the game plan the Clippers has, They may get special treatment next game just like Gafford. Somebody else have to step up. It is playoff, Every game is down to the wire. When you get punched in the face, Punch back. Do not wait until tomorrow, Do not defer to a dumb coach. Who wants more, gets a win, as simply as that.

I think the Clippers plays the passing lanes well early but can't keep it up with deterioring stamina. Makes thing physical and competes as a unit. Expand the age and depth advantages. This may shift the balance of the series when the playoff rookies getting increasing comfortable on the playoff floor.

His on/off (The "off" portion is a small sample that gets massively inflated when extrapolating) is +128.4 per 100 possessions.
This was the case also in the 21 series, when he finished with on/off of +32, the main reason for this, Ty Lue is a great coach who masters PO defense, it made Brunson in 21 and Exum in 24 massive liability, you need geniuses to cope with the defenses he throws, and even then, sometimes you just can't do a thing about it.

I think every under14 head coach in the world can teach a simple p&r or some schemes for corner 3s.
The NBA level of basketball coaching is very low honestly and even a mediocre one like Ty Lue is see as a great mastermind.
