last game 32 points and 18 rebounds plus a steal and 2 blocked shots. Looks like we possibly got something here folks that's Zekas's 2nd 30+ point game and his scoring average is going up. Can't wait to see him start contributing with Dallas. If he can play some at center as well as PF then we need to see what he can do and get him acclimated to the speed of an NBA game so he can give us something come playoffs. If Bass can play some at the SF then we can roll out some serious talent when resting the starters and start holding and extending leads. I'm curious as to how his points are coming if he's doing it inside or outside and what percentages are which.

I still feel good about Nick. His future is still very unclear, but I was one of the ones here that supported the pick, and felt he would be able to help the future of this team. I said he would be a star, but I hope he'll rejoin the team at some point, and prove he's an NBA caliber player.

He's 4th in rebounding in the NBDL at 9.1 and per 48 mins he's 9th in scoring with a per 48 scoring average of 28.8 but in regular stats he's 18.2 PPG and 23rd in the NBDL. Obviously his game is starting to develop and it's looking more and more like we picked a winner. Big Baby may be a winner as well. There's hardly any winners picked that low in the draft and to have these 2 guys ending up as the best picks in the 2nd round would be funny. Then if we can hit on Reyshawn Terry we will have a young core to build around for a long time.

why not bring him up while we play a host of scrub teams and maybe get him some PT? of course i'm assuming we dont have to beat every scrub team with a last second three pointer...

Thats good for him... Id say theres no place for him on the Mavs yet, even if Bass and Juwan arent doing too well as primary backups. I hope he keeps it up though, the Mavs send-downs seem to play pretty well in the D-League, which says a lot about our scouts...

Yeah, he (rookie) won't see any PT with Avery as coach. At least down there he can play in the NBDL All-Star game.

If he can knock down 3s, he would get called up for PT there.
I like how JJ compete today, he's playing better than we thought.

Good stats, Still playing scrubs. I would not have the highest hopes for the kid. But if he can play, he will be in dallas back ing up Dirk or at C.
