Lambert was our first-round pick in 2004 and Exhibit A in why everyone says that was a terrible draft year for us. Even though Maroth hasn't worked out, I can't fault the Cardinals for gambling Lambert on him.

Did you go to the final game of the World Series last year?

Yeap, my brother and I were lucky enough to get some standing room only tickets for game 4. Then that got rained out so we got to go to game 5. It was amazing!

Guess what? First start in AAA for Lambert in the Tigers organization and he absolutely dominates, 6 innings of 1 hit ball and 10 strikeouts.

Mortensen got lit up today too.

Springfield won its first playoff game. Allen Craig hit a 2-run HR (but also committed an error at third base), Marti had two hits, Rasmus went 1-3 with a walk. Mitchell Boggs allowed one earned run in six innings.

Quad Cities lost its playoff opener.

One more win and they take the series from Tulsa.

Quad Cities lost again and their season is done.

Rasmus and Perez will be playing for Team USA instead of the AFL like thought before.

Any chance the Team USA games will be televised? I've never seen Rasmus play, and I'd really like to. Perez too.

Here's the Team USA schedule if your interested mizzou. On Team USA from the Cardinals is Rasmus, Perez, and Anderson. Hopefully some are televised, but I doubt it.

On the AFL team, the Mesa Solar Sox, the Cardinals have Hoffpauir, Mather, Hamilton, Boggs, Pomeranz, McClellan, and Motte.

And Jose Martinez is playing in the VZL.

Also, about a week ago the Cardinals just wrapped up their Instructional League, where Jess Todd and D'Marcus Ingram looked very impressive in the short stint.
