Star-Telegram - John Patterson has agreed to a minor league contract with the Texas Rangers.

Patterson was released by the Nationals last week.

"It's a comfortable fit and I'm looking to getting out there and getting going," said Patterson. [READ]


We should have gone after this guy. Definitely a better option than Hammel.

I agree. I think the Rays are wasting their time with Hamel.

Hammel has proven that he can't harness his curveball and just doesn't have the command needed to be a quality SP.
