Rays are about to sign Hank Blalock.

His signing would add depth at 1B/3B.

If he has anything left.....(I think he does)

Exactly it would add good depth to the Rays.

Bkalock signed a minor league contract.

I remember when he was the Rangers' best player a few years ago. Hopefully he can get back to half of the player he used to be and provide us with some depth and some key playing time in some situations.

It was a no brainer to sign him, but if he's healthy.....then this could be a preliminary move to deal Pena if the season isn't turning out well.
