Wilson (H, 2) 0.1 0 0 0 0 0 0 5.25
Francisco (S, 8) 1.1 1 0 0 1 0 0 0.00

The Rangers sit at 13-12 this season. This time last year through 25 games, the team was 8-17. The win moves them 1 1/2 games behind Seattle for the AL West lead. It's the closest they've been to first after 25 games since 2006.

Is Ron Washington using Frank Francisco too often in the eighth inning? Monday was the third time he's done it this season. In fact, three pitchers got a 1-2-3 eighth inning as Kevin Millwood got the first out, C.J. Wilson the second and Francisco the third.

Good win although Millwood struggled he deserved one after some of those rough losses. Francisco looks shaky at times but continues to get the job done. Andrus not ony belongs but continues to make some game saving plays at short like last night in the 9th.

no he's not using frankie to often in the 8th. closers are normally your best relievers so they should work more then just the 9th inning, especially during a key situation. he probably couldve let CJ try and get the final out of the 8th but didnt want to chance it. ron had a chance to use frankie in detroit a few weeks back and didnt and we blew the game because of it. his bullpen management has gotten a lot better since then.

epic play by andrus, kid's exceeded all expectations so far.

if we win today that will be 4 straight wins and the last 3 would be over john danks, felix hernandez and erick bedard, talk about impressive.

Rangers with the 2 game sweep and received 2 long starts by their starters in the process. O'Day has been a nice pickup and Frank continues to get it done. Rangers hitters either had a multi hit day or nothing at all and man that Salty GS was nice to watch. Cruz,Kinsler,Young and Byrd have been destroying the ball so far and Salty is not far behind them.

Rangers with 4th straight win against Seattle with a decent pitching performance last night. Blaylock picked a perfect time to get his one hit and Elvis is just plain sick at short. MY must be getting a break from playing short because he is killing the ball right now and Josh said he was going back to what he was doing last season which is starting to work. Looking good but the weekend will be a true "acid" test for this team.

Andrus' play at short in the 8th (?) was probably the best play he's made all year. It was the most impressive for me anyway.
