1st place Texas Rangers...hey don't get to say it much. Feldman looked good and needs to stay in the rotation probably could have gone another inning but Holland needed the work. Frank struggled a little but 3 days in a row will do that. Hope Josh comes back soon this team is having issues driving in runs right now.

Elvis is damn good.

I wonder when was the last time Ranger starters put together the series of starts they have the last several games. I'm tempted to say never, though I'm sure the Kenny Hill group did at some point.

yea benson was activated yesterday and was moved to the pen, feldman only solidified his spot in the rotation last night though

i wouldve liked for holland or cj to close out the night over frankie last night, i think pretty much everyone assumed frankie was getting the night off going into this game but i suppose wash though otherwise, this is a case of him possibly getting overworked moreso then asking him to get 4 and 5 out saves.

and as for elvis, he's playing amazing, just listening to eric nadel last night you get the feeling the kid's legit. the 1st out feldman recorded andrus makes what sounds like a routine play but then nadel throws in the comment that it's probably a single last year. and it sounded like he had a couple other nice plays (saw one on the highlights from mlb's site)

lets go for 6 in a row today and guarantee a winning road trip before we even get to chicago!

^ Andrus has amazing range, and I feel like an idiot for defending Michael Young's consistency at shortstop all these years. There was a ball last night that looked like a single for sure that Elvis turned into a routine play behind the bag at second. I don't know if he's just that quick or if his anticipation is just flat-out amazing. Maybe both.

yea, this is why i was completely on board with the move this off season, i was expecting this to happen in 2010 but i suppose if the team expects to contend they want guys like him and holland to get as much experience this year as they can so there wont be as big a learning curve. im as impressed w/his bat so far, not like he's been a world beater but many werent sure if he'd hit over .250 the entire year but he doesnt look lost in any of his ab's

^ And he's looked solid against quality starting pitching, which is great to see. I love the fact that he doesn't swing at a lot of bad pitches, and, though he has some weak groundouts here and there, he make solid contact by and large. At 20, his plate discipline is pretty damn good.

Bad game all around I guess it was due to happen. I wondered while listening on the radio if McCarthy got "squeezed" by the ump? The radio guys did'nt exactly say he was but they kept using phrases like "just missed the corner". I hope that horrible 1st at bat that Davis had finally woke him up out of this nightmarish start starting with those 2 hits.

ump had a weird strikezone yesterday, it was all over the place. sometimes it was wide sometimes it was small. several players expressed dismay with the ump after being struck out

it's sad how little this team walks though, coming into this start cahill averaged about a walk an inning and we cant get 1 god damn walk
