Jays have apparently looked at Daniel Murphy as well.

If #Angels sign FA 3B Aramis Ramirez, they might have a taker for Alberto Callaspo in #BlueJays, who I'm hearing like Callaspo. Really.

No surprise, he always owns us.

Can Callaspo still play 2B?

Washington apparently has a 6 year deal on the table for CJ... could potentially eat up some of the money they would throw at Prince. If they do get him I wonder how long it takes for Werth and Wilson to be a tandem of the most over paid players in the game.

Fielder looks like he may have become a free agent the wrong year.

Apparently the Marlins have offered Pujols a 10 Year Deal.

Is it just me or does that seem like an astronomically awful idea? He turns 32 in January and that's IF that's his real age. Regardless, they'd be paying a 42 year old 20+ million dollars.

Looked at that the other day and his range is questionable at 2nd, but it's a very limited sample size. -12 and -14.9 UZR/150 the last 2 seasons. The "fans scouting report" (also a small sample, probably all haters) is awfully morbid and quite funny too.

I believe when he was on KC he was moved to third base to allow Chris Getz (if I'm not mistaken) takeover second base duties. He's a much better third baseman than a second baseman.

If Miami signs Pujols I would lose my mind. I wonder how long it will take fans to remember that this team played in the state of Florida for almost the last twenty years and how much they have cared over this timespan.

So wonder if Hainley would be more open to playing 2B than 3B?

Just move Yunel to 2B. Problem solved. :)

So speaking of Yunel I happened to be looking at Cots and realized that Yunel and Morrow have the same agent. Hopefully that means we can get Morrow locked up to a nice insanely team friendly deal since apparently this agent has no idea what the Heck is going on around him.

Maybe we can convince KJ to switch agents to that guy before the arbitration deadline.

With all this money we just saved on a closer, and that we're apparently not going to use on Fielder, how much more money will it take to keep Johnson? What's his arb number vs. what he'll get in free agency? If we really need a 2B and there aren't better options, why not bite the bullet and pay him a bit more?

Because Rogers would rather spend on a cheaper 2B most likely.

So, they take a flier on him and he plays pretty well so they only offer the arb? It seems like a foregone conclusion that Johnson will walk and there don't seem to be any better options out there. I guess this Santos deal came out of nowhere, so I'll sit back and wait for another one of these to happen.

Looks like the Mets are trying to build the 2011 Jays pen

Frank francisco gets 2 year deal w/ mets, as @KenDavidoff reported

Still kind of puzzled at the Mets moves right now. They're not rebuilding but retooling and making trades that give them a little more cost control. But still don't get their logic.

You can't rebuild in NY, it's even worse than Toronto, for fans expecting playoffs every year.

They're the Mets...seeking logic in their moves is a fool's errand at the best of times.
